Here are three tips that we support employers to deliver, when seeking to create a more inclusive working environment for their employees! 👇

✅ Create open conversations and give regular feedback and support.
Feedback can help employees feel confident in their roles and understand their progress. Having an open dialogue with employees can ensure that they feel supported and able to speak up about any issues in the workplace. 💬

✅ Implement, where possible, flexible working arrangements.
Many employees will thrive in environments that offer flexibility, allowing them to work at their own pace and in ways that suit their needs, such as short breaks throughout the day, compressed workweeks, Flexible start and finish times, and more. This will allow people to decompress, reduce anxiety and sensory sensitivities in the workplace, and increase productivity. ⏰

✅ Increase awareness of free programmes that can benefit staff
Signpost staff to access to work funded services that can support your employees, such as AutonoMe to support employees in developing their skills and confidence and overcoming any obstacles they may be experiencing during their employment. Employee in-work support programmes such as AutonoMe are 100% funded by access to Work therefore it is of no cost to the employee or the employer. 💻

At AutonoMe, we're getting into the spirit of Shrove Tuesday / Pancake Day! We have a variety of pancake recipes on our app. We’ve created a variety of easy-listening, step-by-step support videos that guide individuals who we support, who are neurodiverse and those who have learning disabilities we support through the process of making pancakes, whether from scratch, using readymade pancakes, or with premixed batter! 🥞

AutonoMe has many years of delivery experience across various Employment pathways including; SEQF (BASE), Restart, Ipes, in-house local government programmes, supported internships, apprenticeships and many more.

Since 2017 AutonoMe has supported over 1,400 Neurodiverse people and those with Learning Disabilities across the UK.

The ideal candidate will be supporting neurodiverse people and those with learning disabilities to thrive in life.

You must be located in South West/West of England part-time and full-time considered, a remote role with travel regularly across the South West to meet learners, providers and stakeholders.

AutonoMe blends human support and technology to enable people to achieve their employment aspirations and live more independently. Our app gives people easy access to our library of instructional videos and strategies, alongside support from a dedicated AutonoMe Development Coordinator, to work towards their goals.

Good news story from B:Music where our learner Howard is employed! It's great to see their progress over almost a year of support from AutonoMe’s development coordinator India Sait and AutonoMe’s assistive technology alongside his supportive, amazing workplace. 🎉

We want to share with you the amazing progress of CH! 🎉 It’s truly amazing seeing how far they are coming - now confidently preparing healthy packed lunches, 🥪and whilst they still need some help with tasks like cleaning the bathroom they are trying and embracing greater independence. With the support of her support worker, AutonoMe’s dedicated development and assistive technology, they are building their well-being and independence more each day. 🎉
