✨ Reflections from our 200-Hour Teacher Training – Weekend Two ✨

I’ve had such a wonderful weekend, the second weekend of our 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training here in Weston-super-Mare. This one felt really special because it was the first time our students presented back to the group on what they’ve been learning so far.

We had two groups offering two very different presentations, both exploring some of the deeper philosophical foundations of yoga: the Panchakosha system and the Kleshas.

The Panchakosha system helps us understand the layers of our being, from the physical body to the more subtle layers of energy, mind, wisdom, and bliss. It reminds us that we’re so much more than the body we inhabit, and that our human experience has many dimensions.

The Kleshas, on the other hand, shine a light on the root causes of suffering, those mental and emotional patterns that cloud our perception and pull us away from clarity and peace.

It was beautiful to see how the students began to weave these two teachings together, recognising how the Kleshas can influence the way we experience and express each of our Koshas. For example, when we act from fear or attachment (Avidya or Raga), it can create tension in the physical body, agitation in the energy body, or confusion in the mind. When we begin to work through those patterns, each layer can soften and come back into harmony.

Watching everyone bring their understanding to life through movement, creativity, and open discussion reminded me just how transformative this journey really is. Every layer of self, every insight, every moment of awareness, it all matters.

November 8th 4 - 5.30pm

Join us for an immersive experience that blends restorative yoga with the soothing embrace of sound and weightlessness. We begin with a gentle restorative yoga practice to calm the body and mind before settling into silk hammocks for a deeply relaxing sound journey.

As you lay cradled in the soft fabric, the gentle swaying creates a sensation of weightlessness, allowing you to fully surrender. The carefully composed music unfolds, guiding you through shifting moods and emotions, sometimes incorporating ambient sounds like rain, waves, or nature’s whispers.

With each note, tension melts away, leaving you feeling deeply relaxed and present. This is more than just a class—it’s an escape into tranquility, offering rest, renewal, and a chance to drift into a dreamlike state
