💫 Happy New Year! 💫

At the start of the year, I was a little MIA, deeeep in coursework and exams 🙃📚🤓. Studying to become a Trichologist was far more challenging than I’d ever expected it to be, but it has absolutely been one of the best decisions I’ve made. And on the 30th of May… I officially qualified!! 🥳

Early in the year, I was also invited to represent the BAHRS Scalp Micropigmentation subcommittee, which was such an honour. The role of the subcommittee is to address the needs of BAHRS SMP practitioners and develop and improve BAHRS standards for this group of professionals.

On the 10th of May, I was lucky enough to be invited back by BAHRS as a guest speaker at their Annual Conference at Aesthetic Medicine, London, to present on the topic of “The Role of SMP in Repair Cases.”

In July, I was announced the winner of “Micropigmentation Specialist of the Year – South West England” by Prestige Awards 2024/2025, where I collected my award at Ashton Gate Stadium in Bristol. 🏆

In September, I travelled to Madrid for this year’s Team Micro “Meeting of Minds” Conference, where I won an international award for SMP Density. 🏅

At the start of October, I visited the Houses of Parliament to attend the Association of Registered Trichologists Academic Conference, which was such a unique experience!

At the end of October, I was invited to Berlin with Dawn & Gemma from FTG for a factory visit and social meeting with BAHRS surgeons to discuss exciting plans for 2026…

And with a little surfing in-between 🌊😌

🌟 Scalp Micropigmentation & Platelet-Rich Plasma Package 🌟

It's been quite a journey for our client!

After decades of struggling with thinning hair, our lovely client visited Micro Artistry in June 2024 for help and advice.

We began with a course of Scalp Micropigmentation to create the illusion of fuller density and to reduce the visibility of exposed scalp areas — essentially laying the foundation.

Once she'd completed her SMP treatment with me, we started her on a course of PRP with injection wizard Nurse Chloe PRP 🪄

Four sessions into her PRP course, our client experienced some health issues, triggering an episode of acute hair shedding. Nurse Chloe implemented a nutrition plan to support her hair growth during this time.

She’s now on her sixth PRP treatment, and just look at the progress!!

SMP and PRP work as a powerful combo — SMP camouflages permanent gaps and missing follicles to reduce scalp visibility, while PRP nourishes the remaining follicles to reduce shedding, re-thicken miniaturised hairs, and extend the anagen (growth) phase 🙌
