On this day in 1917 Andrew Taylor Still died at the age of 89. You might wonder what on earth he has to do with anything. Well, he's the reason that I am an Osteopath. No, I'm not that old!! I never met the man. But what he did was become disillusioned by the orthodox medicine of his day and looked for an alternative.
He named his alternative Osteopathy.

Update on todays travel situation.......
Vicky has made it to clinic after a 4.5 hour commute on the A370 👏 so she is in for her afternoon patients!
I made it 3.5 hours before I called it and came home as I only had patients this morning.
If we cancelled your appointment please accept our apologies and we hope to get you on and off the cancellation list ASAP!!!

Some of you might be aware that I was out of the Clinic on Friday (Sorry!!), but this was why........
Being a Registered profession with a protected title means that , as Osteopaths, we must follow some rules, and part of that is our continued learning. Along with Alex, from New Street Osteopaths in Honiton (and previously Highgrove from 2009-2011), I took a train to London to attend a two day Osteopathic convention, where I learned things!!
I attended sessions which have given me more ergonomic information for all my computer-ing patients, different perspectives on managing knee pain, and a massive dose of inspiration from an Osteopath called Professor Renzo Molinari.
Back to normal on Monday but there maybe some new techniques floating around.......................😁
