Registered Adult Nurse
Registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (School Nurse)
Registered Psychotherapist (CBT) My name is Paulina Wojewoda, and I established the Synergia Integrative Therapies clinic because I am passionate about offering my clients comprehensive and effective healing solutions that nurture t

heir mind, body, and spirit. I am a fully insured, UK-registered nurse (Nursing and Midwifery Council) and UK-registered psychotherapist (British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies). I undergo an enhanced criminal background check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) annually to verify that I am suited for working safely with children and adults. Most of my therapy services are fully online, accessible from anywhere in the world through video calls, ensuring that help is within reach from the comfort of your own home. I offer online a range of therapeutic, evidence-based services including talking therapies (such as CBT, DBT, family based treatment for child/adolescent eating disorders) and somatic therapy (in particular Yoga therapy). I have a special interest in delivering integrative therapy, which is a holistic blend of talking therapies and somatic therapy designed to meet your unique physical and psychological needs. I have spent the last 14 years working therapeutically with clients aged 5 and older (in NHS and privately) with a variety of presenting physical, psychological and social difficulties. I strive to be a diversity ally and I regularly work with clients from a range of backgrounds, including members of the LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, ethically non- monogamous, and refugee/asylum seeker/migrant communities. I have a lived experience of neurodivergence, mental health difficulties and chronic physical health symptoms, which I believe offer me valuable insights, enabling me to support my clients more effectively. My mission is to offer you an inclusive, safe and supportive space for healing, growth, and transformation. I want to empower you with tools and guidance that you can apply in your daily life. Whether you're looking to improve your mental or physical health, to navigate life's general stresses or to learn new ways of maintaining your wellbeing to reduce the risk of future health problems... get in touch for a free 15 min consultation to discuss how I could help you on your journey!

Mindfulness and therapeutic yoga are widely recognized for their ability to alleviate stress, anxiety, and depression.

Approaches that target only the mind often neglect how closely mental habits are linked to the body’s and brain’s functioning. Without incorporating movement or breathwork, it’s challenging to address ingrained patterns of thought and reaction.

Similarly, focusing solely on the body may overlook the root causes of habitual responses to the environment.

This course uniquely addresses the whole person—mind, body, and brain—fostering long-lasting, transformative change.

The ethos of this course is: acceptance, community, awareness, regulation and empowerment.

Participants will meet once a week for two hours over the course of eight weeks via video calls. To ensure a supportive therapeutic experience, each course is capped at max 10 places.

Each session delves into how the mind, body, and brain interact, providing practices that nurture well-being in each area.

Sessions consist of a 70-minute yoga practice, breathwork, additional mind-body exercises, and a group discussion.

To support home practice, participants will receive a detailed manual and an audio set with tracks aligned to each week’s content. Importantly, no prior yoga experience is necessary to join the course.

Course exclusion criteria:

-if you are currently receiving any talking therapy from me

-if you are experiencing: current PTSD symptoms, current or recent psychosis, borderline personality disorder symptoms, current treatment for an eating disorder, current ME/CFS symptoms, any physical conditions/symptoms that may prohibit you from the physical element of the course, recovery from addictions, current or recent (last 3 months) suicidal intent/plans/attempts. For such clients 1:1 Yoga Therapy sessions are the recommended treatment (see above for details of what I offer). Each client’s suitability will be screened and where relevant discussed in a pre-course call.

£200 per person for 16hrs of direct contact with the therapist (me). I will offer one place per course at a heavily discounted rate of £100 to a chosen person on low income.

Another satisfied client at Synergia Integrative Therapies 🙌🏼

“Dear Paulina

I feel anxious, sad and tearful that my appointments with you are coming to an end.

You have been so helpful, understanding, and I can honestly say that you are one of the very few people in my life that I have encountered, where I have felt safe, able to open up just a little bit.

I also trust you implicitly which is a huge thing for me. I feel like you have my back.

I completely understand that my therapy appointments with you would always come to an end, and I am so grateful that you have taken the time to refer me to further specialist mental health services.

The tools you have given me to help cope with my complex PTSD have been so helpful, and I promise to keep using them as I progress through my future treatment.

I want you to know that whatever happens in my life going forward, I will always be so grateful to you for the help you have given me.

I wish you nothing but good things in your life. You truly are a good person and you are one of the very few people who have touched my life in a positive way.

‘I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become’

Once again, thank you for just being a superstar. I will never forget you”

Another wonderful testimonial, this time from one of my recent CBT clients 🙏🏼

“Paulina, my therapist, the real MVP (most valuable player),
With a heart so warm, she set my spirit free.
She’s got this wisdom, like a life GPS,
Helping me navigate through my own mess.

No judgment, just love, in every session.
Paulina, my friend, a healing confession.
Her patience is endless, kindness on display,
Turning therapy into a safe, comfy bay.
In the ups and downs, the highs and lows,
Paulina, you rock, and that’s how it goes.

What a fantastic experience it was to support and co-create human mandalas as part of the team at the festival 2024.

It was something quite special to observe hundreds of participants connecting with themselves and others through the practice of Yoga in this gorgeous Shala ; to witness them exploring their relationship to their bodies, breaths, minds and spirits at individual and interpersonal levels.

A beautiful reminder of the immense value that a supportive community collaborating with intention can offer in times when maladaptive hyper-independence, polarisation, burn out and loneliness are such a common experience for many of us.

Black History Month is a momentous occasion to recognise and celebrate the invaluable contributions of black people to society.

It also serves as an opportunity to inspire and empower future generations.

This year, Black History Month is dedicated to honouring the achievements of black women who are often the forgotten heroines. We want to amplify their voices and challenge the systems that oppress them.

Black people have always been at the forefront of social justice movements, fighting against oppression and paving the way for change. However, despite their countless contributions to society, the achievements of black women in particular, have too often been overlooked or forgotten.

That is why, this year, we will be celebrating the exceptional achievements of black women.

The theme of ‘Saluting our Sisters’ highlights the crucial role that black women have played in shaping history, inspiring change, and building communities!

Here’s some inspiring Black women to find out more about:

The Queens of Nubia
Dahomey female soldiers
Mary Seacole
Ntebogang Ratshosa
Taytu Betul
Marima Ba
Gisèle Rabesahala
Jeanne-Marie Ruth-Rolland
Baroness Lawrence
Tessa Sanderson
Malarkey Blackman
Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
Laverne Cox

Which Black women have you been inspired by and why? Let me know in the comments 🙏🏼

It’s World Autism Acceptance Week! 💛

Monday 27 March to Sunday 2 April 2023

The advice and insight some resources can give into life as an autistic are invaluable for helping us embrace difference as strength and be neurodiversity affirming in our work and relationships:

“National Autistic Society (NAS)” website is the first stop shop website full of essential information and support:

https://www.autism.org.uk

“The National Autistic Society Good practice guide” for professionals delivering talking therapies for autistic adults and children - is an excellent resource for any therapist wishing to adapt talking therapies for autistic adults and children

“Inside Our Autistic Minds” - In this wonderful BBC two-part programme, Chris Packham helps fellow autistic people illustrate how their minds work, helping them connect with their friends and family in a new, authentic way.

“Christine McGuiness: Unmasking My Autism” – This heartfelt journey of self-discovery uncovers a hidden world of thousands of autistic women who, like her, have been ignored by science and society.

Are there any other resources on the topic that you think others need to know about? Please share in comments 🙏🏼
