We are always in awe of the thoughtful and amazing activities our Care Pros think up to do with their Clients, but this was one we hadn't seen before! 👀 Care Pro, Katie brought along a magic water colouring book for one of her Clients to enjoy. 🖌️ We thought this was really special because as well as it being mentally stimulating with facts about animals, it was creative and exciting to watch the paper change colour with the water brush, and a suitable activity for those remaining in bed, which is where her Client was. Thank you to Katie for coming up with ideas suitable for every situation and person, we are so lucky to have you as part of our team! 💚

Our gorgeous team members here are wearing purple this World Alzheimer's Day, as a symbol of solidarity and support for charities and campaigns associated with Alzheimer's research and support. Celebrated on 21st September annually, it is an important day for education and awareness, as well as fund raising.

As September is World Alzheimer's Month, we thought we'd take the opportunity to share details of the 3 monthly Memory Cafes we run. If you are living with Alzheimer's, or any other kind of dementia, you are more than welcome to join us at any of the groups below:

💙 The Hobbs Boat, Lympsham. 2nd Monday of the month 10am - 12:00.
💙 The Old Inn, Clevedon. 2nd Wednesday of the month 10am - 12:00.
💙 Heather's Coffee Shop, Congresbury. 2nd Wednesday of the month 14:00 - 16:00.

These are informal social meet ups where you can make friends in similar situations to yourselves, gain information and support, and partake in optional activities. No need to book, but you can call 01934 526892 for further information. We'd love to see you there!

We were delighted to have Caroline from Wiltshire Farm Foods join us this week to deliver a training session on dysphagia awareness to some of our Care Pros! 🍽️ These sessions are used to educate healthcare professionals on how to support people with swallowing difficulties and cover the complexities of dysphagia, associated risks, and how to meet patients' needs using their range of texture-modified meals. We all found it very interesting and learned a lot. Thank you, Caroline! 💚🍎🎓
