SCHOOL CLOSURES, KEY WORKERS AND VULNERABLE CHILDREN - Friday 20 March
Following the government’s announcement about keeping schools and nurseries open to the children of people working in critical services and vulnerable children, we’re working with schools across North Somerset and they’re doing their best to stay open ONLY to children in those categories.
If you’re a key worker and/or your child(ren) are considered vulnerable and if your child(ren)’s school is closed, we’ll work with other schools and redirect you to a local school in your area that your child(ren) can attend.
The government’s list of who is a key worker is online at https://bit.ly/3dgUJz6
Vulnerable children are those with an EHCP or a social worker.
If you’re classed as a key worker or your child(ren) is in one of the vulnerable groups please contact our schools admission team. They have a list of schools that are open or co-locating.
Email admissions@n-somerset.gov.uk with your child(ren)’s:
➡️Name
➡️Date of birth
➡️Year group
➡️Registered school
➡️Home address
➡️Details of your child(ren)’s EHCP or social worker as appropriate.
Please also let us know which category of key worker you are.
We’ll aim to get back to you as soon as possible but this might not be straight away – we’re working very hard and doing our best to keep you updated 🙏
