Today staff and residents took part in 'Wear it pink day' for breast cancer awareness 🩷 With our raffle and cake sale we raised roughly £250 for such a worthy cause. Thanks to everyone who donated, purchased raffle tickets/cakes and joined us today

10 years ago today myself and Kelly went "cat shopping" for a furry rescue friend to join us at Golden Sands. We were recommend a half Siamese boy who we fell in love with instantly. From his cheeky first days with us, knocking over flowers, bringing in wildlife and wrecking the Christmas tree to his now quieter days of relaxing in his bed or on a lap, there's never a dull moment with Cosmo around. A handsome boy who is full of love. I think we can all definitely agree that sharing his home with so many hasn't had any effect on his waistline 😂😂 no doubt he'll spend the day appreciating all the attention he thoroughly deserves 🩵🐾🐈‍⬛

Jill is retiring! After an emotional day today receiving gifts from everyone, tomorrow is her last official shift before retiring. (But don't worry, she will be back regularly working on the 'bank').
Jill always has time for everyone at Golden Sands and her kind nature has made her a firm favourite with the residents.
We shan't say goodbye.....Just "see you on your next shift" xx
