Are you making time for the things that make you happy?

(And if the answer is "yes" — are you feeling guilty about it?)

Whether it’s spending time at the barn, meditating, exercising, arts and crafts, giving yourself permission to rest, prioritizing sleep, choosing nourishing foods — there’s no exact definition because everyone has a different idea of what counts as self-care. What's true across the board is that the crazier and more stressful life gets, the more important any act of self-care becomes.

So this is your friendly reminder that self-care is not synonymous with being selfish and is well worth the time and effort; engaging in self-care literally means taking care of yourself so you can be healthy, productive and able to better manage stress.
