That’s how many more hours per year the team at Woodland View School say pupils are now spending in the classroom learning.

By installing integrated hoisting systems connecting classrooms directly to hygiene rooms, personal care routines have reduced from around 20 minutes to just 6. The result? Less time spent transferring and more time learning, engaging and being part of the school day.

We are thrilled to see first-hand the impact that well-designed hoisting can have in schools, for pupils and teachers alike.

We’re proud to share that Innova Care Concepts is now a Corporate Patron of CRASH, the construction industry’s charity supporting hospices and homelessness organisations across the UK.

Creating environments that enable safe, dignified and compassionate care sits at the heart of what we do. Hospice projects require thoughtful design, specialist equipment and close collaboration to ensure spaces feel calm, supportive and truly fit for the people who use them. Through our partnership with CRASH, we’re excited to contribute our expertise to projects that improve and refurbish hospice environments for patients, families and care teams.

We’ve already had the opportunity to join a recent CRASH project visit to Isabel Hospice, and this marks the beginning of what we hope will be a long-term, meaningful collaboration.

After a hugely successful event last year, our AbleStay Networking Evening is back on Thursday 5th March!

Join us in Worcester Park for an exclusive opportunity to explore London’s first fully accessible holiday home and see how thoughtful domestic design can support people with complex care needs.

The evening includes a tour of the property, short talks on designing for accessibility in the home, and the chance to connect with fellow OTs, case managers and architects working in complex care.

You’ll also be able to try our VR headset to experience even more innovative adaptations, all while enjoying complimentary refreshments.

AbleStay was founded by Charles and Jo van Berckel, whose lived experience caring for their son Kit highlighted the lack of truly accessible places to stay in London, making this a powerful example of design that genuinely enhances lives.

Education by Design 🎓

A brilliant evening last night at Oxlow Bridge Special School in Dagenham, seeing the first DfE SEN hydrotherapy pool with a moving floor in action just after handover.

The Oxlow team shared how they worked with us to shape the design around their pupils’ needs, an inspiring reminder of why good design matters so much in care and education settings.

We’re proud to have delivered the hydrotherapy pool with moving floor, associated plant and environmental controls, alongside ceiling hoisting systems throughout the school. Nothing beats seeing it all come together!

Huge thanks to everyone who joined us and to the Oxlow Bridge team for a fantastic evening.

It's great to see these photos of the new children's wing at Martin House Children's Hospice where we supported with the installation of ceiling hoist systems.

Alongside hoisting, we’re also currently delivering a hydrotherapy pool for the hospice, which will open in Phase 2 of the build and offer additional therapeutic benefits in a calm, supportive setting.
