We often get asked what the difference is between a hydrotherapy pool and a standard swimming pool.

Hydrotherapy pools are specifically designed to support rehabilitation, therapy, and wellbeing:

• Heated to around 33–36°C to relax muscles and reduce pain
• Water buoyancy supports up to 90% of body weight, easing pressure on joints
• Designed with accessibility in mind, including hoists and specialist entry systems
• Used in clinical and care settings to support mobility, recovery, and confidence

It might look like a swimming pool but its purpose is entirely different!

Oddly satisfying…

Watching a hoist glide smoothly through a transit coupling might not sound exciting, but when you see it in action it’s hard not to appreciate good design.

Our hoist track systems provide seamless movement between rooms, making transfers safer, easier and more comfortable for both patients and carers.

Sometimes the smallest details make the biggest difference.
