Situated on the very top corner of North Street, the building once housed Wetherby icon Teasdale and Metcalfe, but Cameron Beaumont Opticians has a rich history all of its very own.

Cameron Beaumont Optometrists started life in what is now the Victoria Quarter in Leeds in the 1930s. It was owned by Harold Beaumont and at that time it was one of only two optical practices in the city of Leeds.
Harold became well known for the quality of service he provided and was much favoured for referrals by the medical profession.
He was inspired to set up his Leeds practice by his father, Dyson Beaumont, who had opened his own practice in Huddersfield in 1901 and who was the first president of the British Optical Association.

Since then, Cameron Beaumont has gone from strength to strength, offering a full range of eye care, and audiology services.
