Last night, one of our incredible Care Professionals went the extra mile — quite literally! When her car broke down before her visit to her clients, she didn’t let that stop her. Instead, she walked through the rain to make sure her clients were safe, comfortable, and cared for.

This act of dedication perfectly captures what our care team is all about — compassion, commitment, and putting others first. We’re so proud and grateful to have such amazing people representing Home Instead Wetherby, North Leeds & Horsforth every single day🌟

Our Ageing Well Drop In is now on every Thursday 1-3pm!

Come along to Wetherby Town Hall where we'll have lot's of information and guidance for you. You can talk to us about care, dementia, funding or anything else you need help with!

We will be there from 1-3pm tomorrow so make sure to pop in💚

Today, we pause to remember and honour all those who have served — and those who continue to serve — to protect our freedom.

At Home Instead Wetherby, North Leeds & Horsforth, we’re privileged to support many clients and families who lived through times of service and sacrifice. Their stories remind us of the courage, resilience, and love that endure through generations.

This Remembrance Sunday, we give thanks to every hero — past and present — and we promise to keep their memory alive in our hearts and in our care❤️

🎆 Remember, remember… stay safe this Bonfire Night! 🎇

While we all love the sparkle and excitement, the loud bangs and chilly weather can be a bit much for some of the older people living in our community - especially those living with dementia. Here are a few easy ways to make the evening more comfortable:

✨ Close up and cosy up - Shut windows and draw the curtains to soften the noise and flashes.
☕ Stay warm - Keep blankets and hot drinks at the ready for extra comfort.
💜 Be there - A friendly chat, favourite film, or some gentle music can make all the difference.

Last week we had Engage Leeds join us with their reminiscence pod at our monthly Magic Moments Memory Support Drop In✨

As this is an event made for people living with dementia it was such a great activity for everyone to get involved with. They loved reminiscing on their younger years from their days out to the seaside and the pop up brought back all the memories.

💫 Magic Moments – Memory Support Drop-In 💫
A relaxed, friendly space for those living with dementia, and the people who care about them.

Join us tomorrow for our monthly Magic Moments Memory Support Drop-In — a chance to enjoy engaging activities, share a cuppa with friends, and find understanding support from people who truly care.

🗓 When: 22nd October, 1:30 - 3:30pm
📍 Where: The Grove Centre, Small Hall, Horsforth

What to expect:
🎨 Fun, stimulating activities designed to spark conversation and connection
☕ Tea, coffee, and tasty treats
💬 A chance to meet new friends and chat with others who understand
🤝 Professional support for anyone affected by memory loss

This months Companionship Cafe was filled with fun, singing and a lot of dancing. It was lovely to see so many people come along and spend the afternoon with us, we all had a magical time😆

A CAREGiver visits the elderly in the comfort of their homes, takes them shopping, encourages independence, light domestic duties, assists with personal care and of course offers a great deal of friendship and companionship. Excellent rates of pay plus mileage allowance. One Hour minimum visits so no rushing around!
