A promise made, and a promise kept. 💜

While arranging a funeral for a much-loved lady, a family member smiled and requested “When the time comes for Dad’s funeral, I want to see your beard coloured purple”.

Some time later, when we were honoured to care for him too, that promise was remembered and kept.
Rob wore his purple beard with pride and respect.

It’s often the smallest personal touches that mean the most; a reflection of personality, shared moments, and the relationships built along the way. We are privileged to help families create farewells that are as unique and individual as the people they love. 💜

Of Wetherby. Passed away peacefully at his home on 14th April 2026, aged 100 years. A much loved Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and Great Great Grandfather.
The funeral service will take place at St. James’ Church, Wetherby on Tuesday 5th May at 12:30pm, followed by a private cremation. Family Flowers only please, but donations to Wetherby & District Lions can be given at the service on online by visiting www.gehartley.co.uk

On behalf of the family we sadly announce the passing of John Stuart Hepworth.
Husband to Gloria, son of the late Doris and Clifford, much loved brother to Pat, uncle to David & Lisa, Christopher & Louisa and a friend to many.
A service to celebrate John’s life will be held at St Peter’s Church, Thorner on Thursday 16th April at 2pm, followed by an interment of his ashes in the churchyard.
Donations in lieu of flowers will be gratefully received for the benefit of Parkinson UK and can be made online or in the box provided at the service.
