📣 A Very Special Visit Today! 👶👶💛

Today we had the absolute joy of welcoming the catering managers baby twins for their very first visit with our residents and what a heart-warming afternoon it was!

The moment they arrived, the whole place lit up. Our residents were all smiles as they cuddled, chatted, and shared stories about their own children and grandchildren. 🥰

Visits like this make such a difference — they bring comfort, spark beautiful memories, and fill the home with warmth and laughter. The twins truly brightened everyone’s day.

A huge thank-you to our Catering Manager for sharing their little bundles of joy with us. We’re already excited for the next visit! 💛🍼✨

🎶 Pre-Dinner Musical Fun! 🎶
Our residents really enjoyed some wonderful pre-dinner entertainment today as we brought out a selection of musical instruments! The room was full of smiles, laughter, and lively rhythms.Activities like this are so beneficial for our residents — they help boost mood, encourage engagement, stimulate memories, and bring everyone together in such a joyful way.One resident shared, “I just love musical instruments — they make me feel alive!”And one of our staff members added, “I loved seeing the residents having so much fun today.”It truly was a lovely afternoon filled with music, connection, and happiness. 💛🎵

💜Arts & Crafts Club – Lavender Bag Making! 🎨

Today in our group activity, Arts and Crafts Club, our residents enjoyed making their very own lavender bags. Everyone got involved, choosing fabrics, filling the bags with lavender, and creating something personal to take home.

This activity was not only fun but also really beneficial for our residents — supporting relaxation, encouraging creativity, and giving everyone a lovely sensory experience. It was wonderful to see staff and residents working together, chatting, laughing, and sharing memories as they crafted.

One staff member commented, “I love the smell of lavender!”
And one of our residents shared a touching memory, saying, “This takes me back to my garden, as it always smelt of lavender.”

A lovely afternoon filled with creativity, connection, and the calming scent of lavender. 💜🌿

Today we had the privilege of taking some of our residents to the Remembrance Day Parade. It was such a lovely day, and a true honour for everyone to be able to come together and pay their respects. ❤️

Being part of the parade meant so much to our residents — it gave them the chance to reflect, share memories, and feel connected to the community. Days like this really make a difference, and we’re grateful to have been there with them.❤️

A Resident said “It’s been a honour to pay my respects today” a staff member said “I love volunteering and taking residents to events like this”

A huge thank you to all the staff who volunteered their time to support the residents today, as well as the residents’ family members for their help and kindness. Your support made the day even more special. 🙏

The halls of Ashfield Home are filled with remembrance and respect

Our Remembrance Day decorations are now up — honouring the brave men and women who served and continue to serve. Residents and staff have come together to create a beautiful display of poppies, flags, and heartfelt tributes as we reflect on their courage and sacrifice we look forward on having a morning out laying our wreath on Remembrance Sunday for such a honourable cause.

What a fantastic Bonfire Night we had at Ashfield! 🎆🔥 A huge thank you to everyone who helped make it such a special evening — our amazing staff, residents, and families. The atmosphere was wonderful, and it was lovely to see so many smiles and laughter all around. Our residents really enjoyed the night, and that’s what it’s all about! 💛 Thank you again to everyone who played a part in making it such a memorable celebration. 🌟
