More amazing fun from our Easter Party🐣✨

Our Easter egg hunt was a huge success and thoroughly enjoyed by all the children who took part. It was lovely to see so many smiling faces as they searched for their eggs and joined in the excitement! 🧺🍫

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to the Ashfield Easter Party 🐣🌷 We hope you all had a fantastic time celebrating with us!

A special thank you to The Mobile Mini Zoo for bringing along their amazing animals – they were such a big hit with everyone 🐰🦎🐐

A big thank you to Wetherby & District Camera Club for coming in to Ashfield and delivering such a wonderful and engaging talk on photography for our residents! 📷✨

It was a truly interesting session, and everyone really enjoyed looking through the beautiful photographs and hearing the stories behind them. Activities like this bring so many benefits, including stimulating conversation, encouraging memories, supporting wellbeing, and giving residents the opportunity to connect through shared interests.

One of our staff members said, “I loved all the photos and hearing everyone talk about them — it was lovely to see how engaged the residents were.” 💬

A resident also shared, “I really enjoyed seeing all the photos and talking about them together.”

Thank you again to Wetherby Camera Club for spending time with us and making the session so enjoyable and inspiring for everyone involved! 🌟📸

Today at Ashfield, we got into the Easter spirit by painting beautiful eggs for our Easter tree! 🐣🌸🎨

Activities like arts and crafts bring so many benefits to our residents, including encouraging creativity, supporting emotional wellbeing, improving fine motor skills, and providing opportunities for social interaction and self-expression in a relaxed and enjoyable environment.

One of our staff members shared, “I love doing arts and crafts with the residents — it’s wonderful to see their creativity come to life and how much they enjoy taking part.” 💛

A resident also told us, “I love being able to express myself in art and craft sessions,” which truly reflects how meaningful these moments are for everyone involved.

We’re so proud of the colourful eggs created today and the joy they brought to our Easter tree and our Ashfield community! 🌷🐰✨

We are so excited to share some fantastic news from Ashfield Nursing Home 🎉

Thanks to everyone’s kindness and generosity, we have finally raised enough money in our residents fund pot to purchase a large touch screen from the The TouchScreen Company 💛

This amazing new addition offers a wide range of apps, games, and sensory activities for our residents to enjoy. It has already brought so much fun and engagement, encouraging residents to interact, play, and explore in a way that suits all abilities.

The touch screen provides fantastic benefits — supporting cognitive stimulation, improving coordination, and promoting social interaction as residents gather together to take part. It also offers calming sensory experiences, helping to relax and comfort those who need it.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this possible — it truly makes a difference to our residents’ daily lives ✨

Our home has been beautifully decorated with bright colours, Easter crafts, and lovely seasonal touches, creating a warm and cheerful atmosphere for everyone to enjoy. The residents have had a wonderful time getting involved, helping to decorate and sharing in the excitement.

Getting ready for Easter has been a great way to bring everyone together, encouraging creativity, conversation, and plenty of smiles. Activities like this help boost wellbeing, give residents a sense of purpose, and create a real feeling of community within the home 💛

At Ashfield Nursing Home, we recently celebrated Mother’s Day with a lovely afternoon tea ☕🌸

It was a wonderful occasion, and all of our residents thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The room was filled with smiles, laughter, and a real sense of togetherness as everyone relaxed and treated themselves.

One staff member shared how lovely it was to see all the mums enjoying themselves, making special memories and feeling truly celebrated 💛 A resident also said how much they love afternoon tea, which made the day even more special.

Events like this are so important for our residents’ wellbeing — they provide an opportunity to socialise, boost mood, and create happy moments that bring comfort and joy. It’s these little celebrations that make a big difference.
