We have recently shared the “This is Me” booklets with our clients and their families.

Developed by the Alzheimer's Society , this simple but powerful booklet helps individuals share their interests, preferences, and life story, allowing carers to provide more personalised, person-centred care that respects each person’s identity and dignity.

At Neways at Home, we recently had the pleasure of working closely with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

We are proud to be recognised as a Dignity Champion by the National Dignity Council, reflecting our strong commitment to dignity, respect, and person-centred home care in Weymouth, Portland and Dorchester.

At Neways at Home, dignity is at the heart of the care we provide every day whether through home help, visiting home care or live-in care services.

February is Dignity Action Month, we are creating a Dignity Tree to capture what dignity means to our clients and staff. This will be a wonderful way to share voices, experiences and values that matter most to the people we support and our team.

Supporting Community Fridge

At Neways at Home, we believe help and care goes beyond the home - it’s about supporting the wider community.

The Portland Community Fridge runs every Wednesday and Saturday from 11am–12pm at the Portland Community Hub.

It’s a welcoming space where anyone can collect good quality food that would otherwise go to waste. The project is run entirely by dedicated volunteers and is open to everyone.

No sign-up required - just pop in (please bring your own bags). It’s free, although small voluntary donations are welcome.

This initiative helps:
- Reduce food waste
- Support local people
- Strengthen community connections
- Promote sustainability and wellbeing
