My client injured her toe about 10 years ago. Since then, the toenail has grown thicker, discolored, and detached from the nail bed. Over the years, my client has been regularly visiting a podiatrist to reduce the thickened nail plate, which was causing pressure and discomfort when walking. Unfortunately, no solution has been offered, only a reduction of the symptoms. When the client first came to see me, I immediately suggested to try the Unibrace nail brace system to restore the toenail's normal growth path. Where others say nothing can be done, I say let’s try Unibrace 😎

As currently I’m getting lots of enquiries asking if I’m treating fingernails 💅 too I thought I will create a post to answer this question and the answer is : YES I DO! ☺️

Whether you're dealing with post-nail trauma, bacterial infections, or onycholysis, I’m here to help. Fingernails and toenails share the same anatomy, which means issues affecting one can often be addressed with similar care and expertise.

🔍 **Common Conditions We Treat:**

- **Post-Nail Trauma:** Have you recently injured a nail? Let's work on healing it properly to avoid long-term damage. If you damage your toenail long time ago and it’s splitting and causing discomfort I can also create a treatment plan to make it looks and feels better.

- **Bacterial Infections:** If you're experiencing redness in your nail fold, or your fingernail became green especially after having gel polish on it’s essential to get it checked out and to start the treatment asap.

- **Onycholysis:** This condition, where the nail separates from the nail bed, can be concerning. We can discuss treatment options tailored to your needs.

Your nail health is vital for overall well-being, and I’m here to provide comprehensive care for both fingernails and toenails. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any concerns!

Take care of those nails! 💖✨ And always make sure you are choosing salons that use an autoclave to sterilise their instruments! Do not hesitate to ask them how they are sterilising their equipment 🦠🧫
Autoclaving is a golden standard!

The Unibrace nail brace system is a non-invasive toenail treatment that uses a surgical steel wire bonded to the nail with a composite gel to gently reshape and correct ingrown, involuted (curled), and damaged toenails. Applied painlessly without surgery, the brace works by applying gentle tension, similar to orthodontic braces, to restore the natural shape of the nail as it grows out. This treatment offers immediate pain relief, allows patients to resume daily activities quickly, and is safe for individuals with diabetes or other health conditions 👣

Professional debridement is a critical process in treating toenail fungal infections for several reasons:

1. **Removal of Infected Tissue**: Fungal infections often lead to the accumulation of thick, discolored, and damaged nail tissue. Debridement involves the careful removal of this infected tissue, which helps to reduce the fungal load and create a healthier environment for healing.

2. **Enhanced Pe*******on of Antifungal Treatments**: By removing the damaged nail and surrounding tissue, debridement allows topical antifungal medications to pe*****te more effectively. This increases the likelihood of successful treatment, as the medication can reach the deeper layers where the fungus resides.

3. **Prevention of Recurrence**: Thorough debridement can help remove not only the visible signs of infection but also debris and buildup that can harbor fungi. This reduces the risk of reinfection and promotes the regrowth of healthy nail tissue.

4. **Symptom Relief**: Patients often experience pain, discomfort, and changes in mobility due to fungal infections. Debridement can alleviate these symptoms by reducing pressure on the nail bed and surrounding tissues, leading to improved comfort.

5. **Facilitating Diagnosis**: In some cases, debridement can help healthcare providers obtain a clearer view of the nail bed and surrounding skin, aiding in a more accurate diagnosis and tailored treatment plan.

Overall, professional debridement is a vital step in managing toenail fungal infections, significantly contributing to the effectiveness of treatment and improving patient outcomes.

Ozone is one way to disinfect shoes – it works quickly, safely, and reaches even the hard-to-reach areas inside shoes, eliminating bacteria, fungi, and viruses thanks to its strong oxidizing properties. 🌀Why choose ozone?🌀Ozone disinfects without the use of chemicals – it is safe for leather and shoe materials.🦠It effectively eliminates microorganisms that cause unpleasant odors and the risk of foot infections.🥾Reaches every nook and cranny – even where no spray or liquid can.How does ozone work on shoes? 🤔Ozone (O₃), a triatomic form of oxygen, comes into contact with bacteria and fungi, oxidizing their cell membranes and destroying them at the cellular level. 🧫The ozone generator produces a gas that is injected into the shoes, neutralizing not only microorganisms but also any unpleasant odors. 👃After disinfection, ozone decomposes into ordinary oxygen, leaving no harmful residue. 💨 Time4Feet
