We just want to thank the generosity we have been receiving at Rodlands of late... a huge donation from the Stokes family that has been put towards medical equipment that will massively benefit our residents and then this gorgeous water feature that was delivered to the home today from another family, every donation or gift received is always such a lovely surprise and we are truly grateful 💚

🦋Another beautiful day
for our 2m garden visits 🦋

And what a success it’s been, we’ve all had a tough few months and whilst we’ve maintained as much contact as we could during lockdown, via phone calls, FaceTime, window visits
It’s just not the same as face to face particularly for our elderly generation
Here are just some of the changes we have made to make this possible

💚We have a separate entrance to the garden ensuring no contact through the care home

💚hand sanitiser available

💚disposable cups for drinks

💚masks should you not be able to get hold of any

💚 non contact temperature checks

We ask that you fill in our new forms upon arrival and maintain the social distancing and temporary visit rules to keep everyone safe

We will continue these visits until the government states it is safe to open.

We are very proud that we have remained COVID free and continue to work hard to keep your loved ones safe ☺️

To end ✨CARERS WEEK✨ I want to say a massive thank you to everyone that’s in our team right now, you have all come together during this pandemic and shown great camaraderie.
We are proud of each and every one of you 🙌🏼

We have one last mention / announcement
As I have officially been promoted to be the registered manager of Rodlands care home, the official role of assistant manager became open and I’m so pleased to say that Stacey has accepted the job role 🌟🎉
Stacey has been at Rodlands care home with myself since she left school, we started off as weekend Tea girls together and Stacey continued to progress over the years.
Stacey has remained in care and at Rodlands for over 16 years
She is Loyal, compassionate, extremely hard working, caring and most importantly takes responsibility.
She has all the key skills of a deputy manager and we couldn’t think of a better person to take on this role 🌟
Both myself and Stacey are excited for this new challenge/ chapter in our lives and we will continue to take pride in what we do best... ✨CARE ✨

⭐️ Gary ⭐️

He is our head chef and is most definitely the most caring and kindest of souls, our residents always pop to the kitchen to chat to Gary.
No request is too much trouble, and he whips up the most delicious culinary delights that both the residents and staff enjoy!
He has been in our team over 7 years now and it’s safe to say he’s brilliant and totally irreplaceable 🙌🏼
You bring a lot of great qualities to the team and we are very grateful to have you Gary 💚

⭐️ Megan ⭐️

Meg is one of our senior carers she’s been on the team coming up to a year now and in that time has gone from strength to strength.

She’s compassionate, creative and committed to her job role
She brings laughter and cheer to both her work colleagues and the residents and has built up some fantastic bonds.
Megan has worked really hard to get greater knowledge on advanced Dementia and mental health in elderly care and looks forward to doing more in depth courses 💚
We really do appreciate you on our team!
