Sharon Nicholson - Trauma Therapist UK

Sharon Nicholson - Trauma Therapist UK I understand what it’s like to carry the weight of invisible wounds, because I’ve been there myself.

💫 Trauma-informed therapist offering Brainspotting & parts-informed therapy for adults affected by coercive control, narcissistic abuse, betrayal & relational trauma.

💫 Online therapy intensives & ongoing support.

💻www.sharon-nicholson.com Hi, I’m Sharon, a trauma therapist with over 19 years of experience supporting high-functioning individuals who are ready to heal from relational trauma, narcissistic abuse, and profound loss. For a decade, I worked as a BACP Accredited Senior Counsellor in the NHS (specialising in Counselling for Depression) before moving into full-time private practice, where I now offer specialist online therapy across the UK. My own lived experience deepens my empathy and fuels my passion for helping others reclaim their power, peace, and sense of self. I offer therapy with Brainspotting, and my trauma-informed approach is informed by neuroscience, Polyvagal Theory, and Internal Family Systems. This approach helps you release the emotional pain that words alone can’t reach, so you can move beyond anxiety, shame, and overwhelm, to find joy and ease in your life again. If you’re high-functioning and feel stuck in self-doubt, people-pleasing or perfectionism, I’m here to walk alongside you on your healing journey. Feel free to reach out for a free clarity call - let’s explore how therapy can help you come home to yourself.

✨ A gentle weekend reflection ✨

Relational trauma doesn’t always come from one big moment.

Often, it lives in the nervous system - shaped by repeated experiences of not feeling safe, seen, or supported.

This week, inspired by a truly beautiful soul, I shared a new blog post exploring how Brainspotting works with the brain and body, and how neuroplasticity gives us real capacity for change - even when patterns feel deeply wired.

Healing doesn’t mean erasing the past, it means creating new pathways of safety, connection, and choice.

Have a lovely weekend! 💕

Sometimes the deepest pain comes not from what happened, but from being alone in your suffering.

Not believed.

Not supported.

Told to move on, think positively, while you were still surviving.

I see you ❤️

If a relationship has left you doubting yourself, feeling confused, or disconnected from who you once were, you’re not alone.

I’m Sharon Nicholson, a trauma-informed therapist specialising in relational trauma, including betrayal and narcissistic abuse.

Many of the people I work with understand what happened, yet still feel its impact in their body, nervous system, and sense of self.

My work is gentle and body-led. Using Brainspotting and parts-informed therapy, I help your system process what hasn’t yet had the space or safety to resolve, without forcing or reliving the past.

Alongside ongoing therapy, I also offer focused online relational trauma intensives for those who feel ready to give dedicated time and space to deeper healing.

All my work is online via Zoom (across the UK)

❤️ A Gentle Note for 2026

If last year was heavy, messy, painful, or just plain difficult, I see you and you don’t need to try and fix it.

We don’t need to set giant goals, new year resolutions, or pretend we’re starting over.

The quiet, invisible work we do matters - breathing through the hard days, noticing our own feelings, asking for help when we need it.

This year, we get to show up for ourselves in whatever small ways feel possible. Some days will feel like a victory, some days will feel like survival, and both are enough.

You are enough ❤️

Here’s to 2026: less pressure, less pretending, more realness.

With love
Sharon xx
