At Weymouth Bay Reflexology, I specialise in helping women thrive through all stages of life—preparing for pregnancy, navigating the hormonal shifts of perimenopause, or simply looking to enhance your wellbeing.

This week's flowers on my desk are from the garden. They are a bit rustic, but I love that there are still blossoms to enjoy, even in October.
Hopefully if you’re a newsletter subscriber, you’ll have a good idea! For those that aren’t on my list - yet - here’s a brief update.
If you’re wondering if it’s acceptable to have the heating on, the answer is yes, if your toes are cold! My couch heater and the radiators are back on in the studio so you always have a warm welcome.
My training (cancelled at the last minute 😭) for facial massage with lymphatic drainage is back on, I am off to North Dorset later this week.
The shift into autumn does feel like a restart on the year, and it’s the perfect time to set yourself up with regular self-care. My wellbeing plans mean you can enjoy treatments every month (or every couple of months), lock in 2025 prices for up to a year, and have the reassurance that your wellbeing is already taken care of. You can explore the options here, or ask me to help you choose your adventure (anyone else remember those books?) - this is actually a very popular choice!
A quick note on availability for the rest of the year - whilst October and November have good availability, December is a VERY short month for me in the treatment room - I only have 10 working days in total available that month (less than half of a usual month). If you want to see me in December book your spot now, my schedule is up to date.
Last, but definitely not least, it’s time to start supplementing your vitamin D - from now until the clocks change in Spring. Top up with daily light exposure, even when it’s grey outside!
Ooh, it’s beginning to feel a bit like Autumn now. Cooler mornings and evenings, conkers appearing with their beautiful shiny-ness and the need for a thicker duvet.
Bookings for reflexology and holistic facials in October are open, so make sure your spot on the cosy couch is in your diary. As I get busier, it may be worth looking ahead to November and December as well.
Still unsure about reproductive reflexology? You're not alone.
Many mums, and hopeful parents, come to us feeling sceptical. They’ve heard about reproductive reflexology through a friend, an article, or even a healthcare provider, but they’re not convinced it could really help.
And that’s okay. Scepticism is completely valid.
What most people don’t realise is that reproductive reflexology is far more than a relaxing foot treatment. Our trained practitioners are deeply knowledgeable in the complexities of both female and male reproductive health. They may suggest fertility-related tests, guide you in tracking your temperature, and support changes in lifestyle, nutrition and emotional wellbeing.
Because fertility is never just about one thing. It’s a whole-body, whole-couple journey.
We’ve supported people with PCOS, endometriosis, and those going through IVF or assisted conception. Some have been told they may never conceive, and yet they have gone on to have success stories of their own.
We see your frustration. We honour your sadness. And we’re here to support you with compassion, science-based care and hope.
Want to find someone who understands the full picture? You can connect with a local reproductive reflexologist via our website.

It's the start of World Reflexology Week, so let's start with a very commonly asked question:
What Is Reflexology?
Reflexology is a gentle, holistic therapy focused on the whole person's physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
By working on reflex points usually on the feet or face, reflexologists aim to stimulate areas that mirror the body's systems, helping restore your natural balance and well-being.
Foot reflexology uses gentle pressure on reflex points reflecting your organs and body systems, which can relieve tension, improve sleep, and boost mood.
Facial reflexology combines techniques to target the reflex points on the face, helping reduce stress, improve skin tone, and promote relaxation. This treatment is deeply calming and also aids circulation and lymphatic drainage, supporting overall wellbeing.
Reflexology offers a natural way to feel more balanced and reduce stress. After a session, you may notice improved relaxation, better sleep, and a sense of calm. If you want to know more, ask me! You can visit my website here: https://weymouthbayreflexology.mvt.so/
*Please note: Reflexologists do not diagnose medical conditions. For urgent health issues, contact your doctor.

💆♀️ Facials that do more 💆♀️
My holistic facials are designed with your whole wellbeing in mind, not just your skin.
You can choose a reflexology facial to bring balance from within, an Ayurvedic massage to restore calm and nourish your skin, or even try a blend of both for the ultimate relaxation.
Each session is tailored to what you need, easing away stress, softening tension, and leaving you feeling calmer, lighter and more radiant.
Come for a holistic facial and feel truly cared for. 🌸
Reflexology could help you with relaxation and pain management.
🍁Chronic pain and sensitivity:
Fibromyalgia causes widespread pain that can range from aching to stabbing or burning sensations. Many people also experience hypersensitivity, feeling intense pain from light touch or small injuries.
🍁Fatigue and sleep disruption:
The constant discomfort often leads to poor sleep, contributing to extreme tiredness, brain fog, and difficulty concentrating.
How Reflexology may support your wellbeing:
Reflexology promotes deep relaxation, which may ease muscle tension and support better sleep.
Many people with chronic conditions find regular sessions a soothing addition to their self-care routine.
The results of a study carried out to investigate the effect of reflexology on pain intensity in patients with fibromyalgia concluded that including reflexology in the routine care of patients with fibromyalgia could provide an effective practice for reducing pain intensity.*
Prioritise your self care. If you’re managing fibromyalgia and exploring ways to support your wellbeing, reflexology can offer you a calming space to unwind.

Rowena has been a practitioner of reflexology as a healing touch therapy for more than five years. She opened Weymouth Bay Reflexology in 2016, and has added to her initial reflexology training with facial reflexology and a unique specialism in fertility and reproductive reflexology. She has helped hundreds of people manage chronic conditions such as migraine, fibromyalgia and stress-related symptoms. Her best success yet? In 2019, a fertility client gave birth to a much longed-for baby, after receiving just three months of fertility reflexology treatments earlier in the year.
Reflexology is a non-intrusive complementary health therapy, based on the theory that different points on the feet, lower leg, hands, face or ears correspond with different areas of the body. Reflexologists work holistically with their clients to achieve better health and wellbeing. During these unusual times when it's easy to dwell on our contact with other people, it's good to know that reflexology is a mode of therapy where you are naturally socially distanced from your therapist, and only have to remove your socks! Of course, when reflexologists are allowed to open, their usual strict hygiene policies and protection for customers will be even more comprehensive.
"People tell me that their reflexology sessions have helped them to better manage serious health issues, have less stress and enjoy life more, which just makes my heart sing. These comments prove the science is right, reflexology is a powerful way to resolve many health issues, and it's a fantastic way for people to feel calmer, sleep better and feel less stressed," says Rowena.
Rowena switched to working with clients online until government advice allows close-contact therapists to resume hands-on treatment. She has limited availability for new clients, so to secure a spot to work with her, contact her at: www.weymouthbayreflexology.co.uk
