F u d g e y B r o w n i e s 🍫

If you love a sweet treat but you’re looking for an alternative to refined sugar, these 3 ingredient fudgey brownies are so simple to make and delicious. The kids love them too so that’s a win win for me!

Fudge Brownies
2–3 ripe bananas
1/3 cup cacao or cocoa powder
1/2 cup nut butter (almond or peanut)
Water (optional)
Walnuts (optional)

Mash the bananas until smooth, stir through the cacao and nut butter, and add a splash of water if needed to loosen. Pour into a lined loaf tin, add some walnuts if using, and bake at 180°C for 15–20 minutes.

Try not to eat it all!

Rich, naturally sweet, and full of goodness. Bananas bring natural sweetness and fibre, nut butter adds healthy fats for sustained energy, and cacao adds that chocolate hit (plus antioxidants).

Try it and let me know what you think 😋

Rebecca x

Walking barefoot is one of my favourite things to do at this time of year.

Emerging research suggests that reconnecting with the earths natural electrical field - often called grounding or earthing - may support the body in a number of ways, including helping to regulate stress, reduce inflammation, support circulation, and improve sleep quality.

If nothing else it’s still a simple, enjoyable practice- what do you think?

Stress & Serotonin - What’s the connection? 💫

Serotonin is your body’s natural feel-good chemical, which helps support mood, sleep, energy and emotional resilience.

However, chronic stress can deplete serotonin levels, which may leave you feeling; low in mood, anxious or overwhelmed, struggling with sleep or craving comfort foods.

We can support serotonin during stressful times, by-
Spending time in natural light each day, making time for our favourite people, moving our body, supporting gut health by eating a balanced diet with fibre and fermented foods and taking time to rest.

Small, daily choices can have meaningful effects- even during the busy or stressful periods 🤸

S p r i n g t o n i c 🌱

Cleavers (sometimes known as sticky W***y! See second slide) naturally appear at this time of year and has traditionally been used as a gentle spring tonic.

Natures gentle cleansers appear just at the right time-when our bodies are ready to clear stagnation from the heavy winter foods.

Cleaver tonic benefits
Hydrating and uplifting drink
Antioxidant and anti-inflammatory
Supports digestive, lymphatic and detox systems
Can help reduce puffiness and fluid retention
Supports skin health (great for acne, eczema & congestion)

How to make
Collect fresh cleavers and pop a handful into a jug with filtered water. Add sliced lemon, cucumber, mint or any fresh herbs you like. Leave for a few hours (or overnight) and sip throughout the day for a refreshing herbal infusion.

Let me know if you try it 🤸

*Always ensure correct identification before picking wild plants and harvest from clean, chemical free areas. Use with caution if taking any type of diuretic medication, pregnant or breastfeeding*

J a n u a r y ❄️

If January feels heavy and you’re still longing to hibernate, you’re not behind. Our energy wasn’t meant to rise in winter.

Historically, the New Year didn’t begin in January-it began in spring, when the light returned and life started to stir again.

Spring is coming, and winter is our invitation to prepare for it; to prioritise rest, warmth, and nourishment.

As we move back toward the busy routines, try to carve out a little time for yourself. This season can be a beautiful opportunity to gently support the body’s eliminatory organs with mild herbs and nourishing foods which can gently wake a sluggish system and restore mineral balance.

January newsletter coming soon. Learn how to support the lymphatic system and replenish the body whilst wintering. Subscribe via my website 🌱

A u t u m n 🍁

Going back to school after the summer felt particularly hard this year, I know I can’t be the only one feeling this way. The shift back into early mornings, busy routines, work and everything in between has felt like a whirlwind at times.

Today I had the luxury of a slower morning, a walk in nature with a good playlist felt like magic. A good reminder of how important it is to prioritise those small thing for ourselves 💫

Happy holidays!

W e l l b e i n g 🤍

Thank you World Mental Health Day, for reminding us of what we can achieve together.

I think most of us have experienced some emotional challenges in our lifetime, or know somebody close to us that has.

One of my most challenging times was during my early twenties, after my dad passed away. I experienced debilitating anxiety and panic attacks, at my worst I couldn’t go to the supermarket, drive on the motorway or sometimes hold a conversation down without it triggering panic of some kind. I was terrified i would feel like this forever.

Reaching out for support and working with different teachers and therapists, taught me how to process my grief, manage stress and take care of my mental health through things like movement, diet, rest, and a range of holistic therapies.

Fast forward 20 years, those experiences are a big part of who I am and why I do what I do today.

If you’re struggling, please know you’re not alone. There are many gentle, supportive ways to care for your mental health — and reaching out for help is the first step,

With love,
Rebecca ❤️
