Baby massage isn’t just magic for little ones 🤍 it’s powerful for mums too.

Those quiet, skin-to-skin moments help boost feel-good hormones like oxytocin (the “love hormone”) and reduce cortisol (the stress hormone), leaving you calmer, more grounded, and more connected. It’s a gentle reminder to slow down and just be with your baby.

Massage also deepens attachment — learning your baby’s cues, responding to their movements, and sharing eye contact builds trust and strengthens that beautiful bond.

And let’s not forget the social side. Baby massage classes create a safe space to meet other mums, share experiences, and realise you’re not alone in this season. Community, connection, and cuddles… what more could you need? 🤍✨

A baby massage course is about much more than the bond between a parent and their baby — it is also about the power of the group.

When parents come together, they share stories, voice concerns, and realize that many of their questions and doubts are completely normal. Hearing others speak about similar experiences helps parents feel understood, supported, and less alone.

The group becomes a safe, respectful space where learning unfolds not only through guidance, but through connection, reflection, and shared understanding.

In this collective journey, confidence grows, trust deepens, and parents are reminded that there is no single “right way” — only relationships built on attentiveness and responsiveness.

This week I was told by a mum that she was talking to a different mum and mentioned that she was coming to my course. This mum turned to her and said “I loved Pip’s classes. It’s like a right of passage for all babies in Buxton!”
I absolutely loved this. It made me smile so much.
If you would like your little one to go through their “rite of passage” with me then drop me a message! I’d love to welcome you to the course.

Tiny hands, calm breaths, big benefits 💛👶

Baby massage isn’t just a lovely bonding moment—it supports your baby in so many ways ✨
• Encourages relaxation and better sleep
• Supports digestion (hello, less wind & discomfort)
• Boosts circulation and muscle development
• Helps babies feel safe, secure, and connected
• Supports emotional regulation and body awareness

A few minutes of gentle touch can make a big difference—for your baby and for you.
Slow down, follow their cues, and enjoy the moment 🤍

Save this for later or share with a new parent who might love this 💫

✨ Why I teach baby massage ✨

I trained as a baby massage instructor back in 2006 with the International Association of Infant Massage, and I still remember leaving that course with a fire lit inside me. I just knew I wanted to teach parents this incredible skill 🤍

At the time I wasn’t even a mum — I was a full-time nurse in a busy hospital. My boss sent me on the course so I could support the parents of some of our tiniest patients… and that’s where it all began.

I started teaching nursing friends and their babies (those babies are now in their 20s 😭), then friends, then NCT groups. My passion just kept growing.

When I became a mum myself, I got to share massage with my own children — and that is something I will treasure forever.

I wanted to create a space for new parents to slow down. To step out of the busyness of early parenthood. A place to relax, bond with your baby, and meet other parents who might just become your lifelong friends and local support network ✨

That’s how High Peak Baby Massage was born — and it’s exactly what I aim to offer in every class.

If this sounds like the kind of space you’d love to be part of, drop me a message 💌

Becoming a parent changes everything — and walking into your first baby group on your own can feel seriously daunting 🤍

That’s why baby massage is such a lovely place to start. My sessions are cosy, warm and calm (as calm as a room full of babies can be!), with a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels at ease.

You’ll meet other new parents, ask all the questions you want — judgement-free — and learn a beautiful bonding skill to enjoy with your baby.

And of course… there’s always a hot drink and a homemade biscuit waiting ☕🍪

If you’re looking for your first group to join, why not make it baby massage? We’d love to welcome you. ✨

💜Baby massage classes are so much more than baby massage 💜

Quite often, baby massage will be the first class that you go to with your baby, as you move from that stage of newborn bubble to wanting to introduce some activities and social activities into your lives.

As a new mum, it can be hard to know where to turn to for advice if you are struggling. Motherhood can feel lonely especially if you’re finding something particularly challenging and you don’t know how to navigate it.

That’s why, at my classes we have chats about crying, benefits of baby massage etc.
I am also a children’s nurse with many years experience and have recently qualified as a sleep coach. Informal chats with other parents have covered topics like weaning, birth tension, tongue tie, frequent waking, reflux and many others. I will always refer to professionals where necessary but quite often other parents have solutions with things they have tried.

If this sounds like the kind of group you would like to try, drop me a message. I have new courses starting in Buxton and Whaley Bridge at the end of February.
