At our core, we’re a community-focused, education-driven clinic.

We’re delighted to welcome Chris Wilkins to the team for his Friday clinical placements. Chris is a SCRAM student at Cardiff Met, a GB Para-Cycling athlete, and an aspiring Physiotherapist working towards his Master’s.

Through work placements, internships, and mentorship, we aim to support the next generation of clinicians while delivering trusted, evidence-based care through our multidisciplinary team.

We’re proud to be part of Chris’ clinical and athletic journey towards LA 2028.

AJ Physio is expanding and we’re looking for motivated and reliable practitioners to join our team, providing pitch-side cover across sub-elite rugby, football, American football and netball.
This is a freelance sub-contractor role with evening clinics and weekend fixtures.

✅ What you’ll do:
·       Provide pitch-side first aid and trauma cover
·       Support players with injury assessment, diagnosis and rehabilitation
·       Work as part of a progressive sports medicine team

🩺 Requirements:
·       Minimum Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) or Sports Equivalent
·       MSK Grad Degree with professional registration and insurances
·       Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
·       Driving licence & own transport
·       Available evenings & weekends

⭐ Desirable:
·       Level 2 Sports Trauma Training (ITMIF, ATMIF, PHICIS or equivalent)
·       Previous pitch-side experience
·       Interest in private practice clinical hours

Former St Albans Councillor/Mayor, Herts High Sheriff, long-time AJP supporter, and champion of the Wheathampstead community — her journey means a lot to us.

A former athlete, Annie knows the highs of sport… and the lows of injury. For the last 10 years, she’s been held back — not just by physical limitations, but by the fear of making things worse. After seeing countless practitioners without lasting progress, Annie came to us ready for a different approach.

We stripped things back to basics. We listened. We empathised. We worked to understand not just the injuries, but the impact on her confidence and mental wellbeing. From Fear of Falling to Moving with Confidence 💪🏼⬆️

When this patient first came to us, he was feeling the effects of a noticeable decline in his physical health — reduced strength, flexibility, and balance. He felt unsteady on his feet and had lost confidence in everyday movement.

We carried out a full Falls Risk Screening using the ForceDecks and hand-held dynamometer to assess baseline strength and balance.

🧠 From the data, we designed a personalised rehab plan combining:
• Twice-weekly 1:1 in-clinic sessions
• A structured home exercise programme

Fast forward just 6 weeks, and the transformation was clear — physically and mentally. His strength improved across the board, his movement symmetry was restored to within 5%, and most importantly, he was no longer afraid of falling.

Back in March, our co-director Adam and his amazing wife Danielle welcomed their beautiful baby boy, Oscar, into the world! 💙

He’s already been in for his first visit to Daddy’s clinic — getting a head start on learning the ropes at AJPHYSIO.

Jimena came to us after a bad experience with another clinic. She wasn’t listened to, wasn’t given any treatment options and felt helpless.

We listened, throughly assessed and created a treatment programme centred around her.

Slowly but surely, she saw improvements and was back playing the sport she loves, pain free.

With over 20 years’ experience as a soft tissue therapist, Andrea specialises in treating chronic muscular pain using dry needling, deep tissue massage, and stretch therapy. Her work has helped countless people manage fibromyalgia, sports injuries, and long-term muscular pain.

Andrea’s resume is seriously impressive—she’s toured with WWE Superstars, worked with the Ladies European Golf Tour 🏌️‍♀️, and treated artists and crews backstage at major UK music venues and festivals like V Festival for over a decade. 🎸💪

She’s known for her skill, professionalism, and passion for helping people feel and perform their best—and we’re lucky to have her on board!
