January (dates: 21st+ + 28th January, 4 + 11th February 2026)

🕣 Wednesday evenings, 7:45-9pm

INVESTMENT £50 (£45 for members!)

Course Structure:

Week 1 – Foundations & Breath Awareness

Week 2 – Building Strength & Sun Salutations

Week 3 – Balance, Awareness & Hips

Week 4 – Putting It All Together / Beginner Flow

By the end of 4 weeks, student should understand:

✨ More about the history and philosophy behind yoga practice

✨ Foundational alignment and how to practice safely, including the safe use of props

✨ The importance of breath and how to use breathwork to support the nervous system, movement & manage stress

And:

✨ Practice Sun Salutations independently

✨ Improve balance, mobility & strength

✨Feel comfortable joining a general yoga class

A 30 minute practice suitable for all. An opportunity to gently move and pause in the middle of the day. New to meditation? This is the perfect introduction!

🤰Pregnancy yoga course - BREATHE, MOVE + BOND: Time for You and Your Baby

TRIAL CLASS: Tuesday 20th 7:45-8:45pm (introductory class: £10)

Led by a qualified yoga teacher with a specialist qualification in pregnancy (and mum of 4!), this unique 60-minute holistic experience includes grounding breathwork, pregnancy safe yoga, guided relaxation / meditation, soothing mini crystal sound bath, herbal tea to take away and a dedicated WhatsApp support group of local fellow expectant mums

✨STILLNESS ✨

In this term we’re exploring Wintering. This evening’s practice was a super gentle and slow flow (no standing!) moving into yin yoga and ending with a mini crystal sound bath.

One more week, and then next term starts w/c 19th January (no classes on the Monday).

✨ SANTOSHA (gratitude)✨

The fifth Yama (one of the eight limbs of yoga, of which asana/physical practice is just one) is Santosha - or gratitude.

Day 29 of the challenge by - an unexpected after school trip to A&E (not for me).

🙏🏼 The NHS may be underfunded and overstretched, but today I am grateful for it.

🦴 We were in and out of urgent care with an hour (seen, X-Ray, diagnosis and treatment), treated by kind people, for free.

🌈 When looking for an image I came across a “gratitude rainbow”.

This is an activity where you write down things that you are thankful for on the bands of a rainbow, and then color it in to create a colorful representation of this appreciation.

It is said to be a way to cultivate a positive outlook by focusing on people, places, activities, and other good things in life.

✨ THE POWER OF BREATH ✨

A talkie reel day 28 (four weeks!) of

Taking 5 minutes in the fresh air under beautiful blue skies.

Try practicing this:

- close your eyes
- notice the sounds around you
- bring your attention back your breath
- inhale deeply through your nose, feeling the belly rise, your lungs and ribs expand, and filling your chest all the way up to the top
- exhale all the way back down smoothly and slowly

Repeat for a few rounds - see how you feel.

✨SAYING YES TO THE THING✨

Day 27 of by : A day in London - and an unexpected delay and the resulting change of route home which opened up a fun experience (see slide 2 ➡️).

A lesson in saying “Yes to the thing!” - and being open to taking unplanned routes to the same destination.

An inset day (a UK day off school) for the Tween, and the toddler obviously comes with!

🦕 He was given the free choice of what to do in London - the response? Dinosaurs!

So and , plus a pizza express lunch fit the bill.

On the way back we hopped off the bus as it was so busy and ended up in the Apple shop looking for some charge - and there was a free drawing workshop on… Initially I said no, we don’t have time - but when I thought about it, actually we could stay a little longer - no need to rush home. And he loved it!

🎄Sloane St was also looking particularly pretty (and not busy… a bonus)
