This includes neck and back pain, shoulder injuries, hip and knee arthritis, ankle sprains, tennis elbow and many more conditions. Ring me if you would like to know if I can help you. I qualified as a physiotherapist in 2002 from Leeds Metropolitan University. I then worked for 4 years at St. Mary's Hospital, Paddington in London, firstly as a junior rotational physiotherapist working in areas such as neurology, respiratory and orthopaedics and then as a senior musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapist, rotating around key areas including orthopaedics, out-patients, Women's Health and fracture clinic. After 4 years I decided it was time to move back to my native North East and I have worked with Connect Physiotherapy in Gosforth and Low Fell and the NHS ever since. During this time I completed my master's degree in Manual Therapy and became a member of the MACP (https://macpweb.org/home/ - for further details). Most recently I was employed by Newcastle Hospitals as a Spinal Clinical Specialist and I now work exclusively at The Retreat in Whickham providing private physiotherapy appointments for the local community. I am registered with many large insurance providers if you are covered by private medical insurance. I have a special interest in pain management, neck and back pain as well as shoulder injuries and cervicogenic headaches (headaches originating from the neck) but I like seeing a variety of different conditions to keep life interesting!
