Today is Groundhog Day. Myself and Alan discussed “what day would you like to repeat”. Alan was more than happy to tell me about his lifelong hobby……Motorbikes. We looked at pictures of Alan’s past and all his visits to different circuits, meets,festivals and racetracks he has visited over his life. He told me about all of the bikes he re built and all the awards he won for this.

Alan said “I have a lifetime of memories about biking that could fil a whole wall”. Alan said he would love to relive his biking days as it was some of his best times and he made some lifelong friends through his hobby.

Games day today 😁 we have spent the morning playing cards, Darts and broke out the Dance mat!!!

We discovered some champion Darts players and uncovered some card game cheaters 🤣 no names to be mentioned!!

What a celebration we have had today for our Effies 100th Birthday 🍾🎊🥂🎉🥳

We danced, laughed ,ate and drank the afternoon away with music from the lovely Keeley May Vocals and fabulous food from our chef sue.

A massive thank you to everyone who sent cards, sent well wishes, all the staff who came in to wish Effie a happy birthday and those who were there to celebrate with us.

It was an absolute pleasure and honour it was for all of our staff and residents to be able to be part of this momentous occasion for Effie and her family ❤️

Also a very Happy birthday to our lovely Carer Emma Ward 😘

Had a visit from our fab hairdresser Tracy Gannon today to do some of the ladies hair. Smiling faces as always after her visit 😁

A cold blustery day calls for a hot chocolate ☕️😍

Our Chef sue prepared a drinks trolley and lovely Lucy supported our residents to make there drinks.

A massive thank you to slimming world with Caroline in Brinsworth,Trenton and stag area for the amazing hamper that was dropped in to our home today for our residents to enjoy. As always the community spirit and generosity towards our home is fantastic ❤️
