A few people have commented over the last few days about my course, saying they’d love to join but….

“I don’t really like talking in groups.”
“I wouldn’t want to sit and share all my problems.”
“I get nervous speaking in front of people.”

And honestly? I completely understand that fear. Walking into something new can feel daunting enough without worrying you’ll be expected to pour your heart out in front of strangers.

So I just wanted to gently reassure you what this course is — and what it isn’t. 🤍

This is not group therapy.
You are not expected to sit and discuss your deepest struggles with the town.
You will never be put on the spot, forced to speak, or made to share anything you don’t want to.

What this course is…
A calm, supportive space where I teach you simple ways to help regulate anxiety, stress and overwhelm.

It’s about understanding your nervous system.
Understanding why your body reacts the way it does.
Understanding why you can feel exhausted, emotional, overthink everything, or feel stuck in survival mode even when you’re trying your best.

I’ll teach you the science behind what I do and why these tools work.
Simple, practical things you can take away and use in everyday life.

And if you want to sit quietly for all 6 weeks simply listening and learning, that is absolutely okay too. 🤍

There is no pressure here.
No judgement.
No shame.

This is not a Victorian classroom where you’re told off for speaking too much… or made to feel uncomfortable for not speaking enough either.

You are allowed to arrive exactly as you are. Tired. Anxious. Quiet. Unsure. Overwhelmed. Sceptical. Emotional. All of you is welcome.

I’ll probably talk enough for ten people anyway, so awkward silences won’t be an issue. 😂

What I do encourage is gentle reflection.
Beginning to notice your body.
Your thoughts.
Your triggers.
Your patterns.

Because awareness is often the first step towards healing.

And if at some point you feel safe enough to share something, you can.
If not, that’s okay too.

Sometimes healing simply begins by sitting in a room where your nervous system finally realises…

“I’m safe here.” 🤍

What a corker of a day yesterday 🥹✨

One of those days where your heart feels so full you don’t quite know where to put it all.

My son passed his driving test 🚗
And honestly… watching his determination in life blows me away every single time. Whatever he sets his mind to, he gets it done. Not through luck—through grit, focus and sheer determination. And the thing I admire most? He actually enjoys the challenge. He sets his mind to it and gets it done. And makes it fun.

My lovely mam used to say, “There’s nothing too hot nor too heavy for that child,” and honestly… she wasn’t wrong ❤️

I’m absolutely over the moon for him. The doors that are now open for him. The independence. The ability to get out into the world.

And then there was a little proud moment for me too 🥰

Yesterday (Healing with Lesley) I delivered a community wellbeing session for the gorgeous members of SENDure CIC Sean Kirk. Offering supportive tools, awareness, understanding and a space to just breathe for a minute.

It took me right back to the very first workshop I ever did with 6 beautiful ladies. My knees were shaking, heart racing and I was sweating like I was running a marathon 😂 But even then… I loved every second of it.

Yesterday there were 10 people in the room, and this time I didn’t even blink an eye. No panic. No overthinking. I simply focused my energy on making sure the space felt warm, safe and encouraging for every single person walking through that door.

And what a gorgeous session it was 💛

When everyone came in, I asked them to describe how they were feeling.

The majority said:
Anxious. Exhausted. Spent. Stressed.

And honestly… no wonder.

Life can feel like that sometimes can’t it?
Like you’re carrying the weight of the world whilst trying to keep all the plates spinning. Pressure from every angle. Noise. Responsibility. Chaos.

But even amongst all of that… there is still room to smile. Still room to laugh. Still room to enjoy your life.

Because that’s why we are here ❤️

Not just to survive the week running on empty.
Not just to constantly hold everything together for everyone else.

But to feel joy.
Connection.
Peace.
Safety.
Little moments that make your shoulders soften and your heart feel lighter.

So many people don’t realise they’re allowed to put some of those plates down for a moment. Even for 10 minutes.

Because when you pause…
When your nervous system gets chance to breathe…
When you feel seen, safe and supported…

You pick those plates back up feeling a little calmer. A little lighter. A little more in control.

I left floating on cloud 9.

And I think they did too 💫
