My name is Jamie Risato. I am a fully qualified and a fully insured Massage Practitioner in Whitby and Scarborough, North Yorkshire, providing a friendly, professional and reliable mobile massage therapy service in Whitby and it’s surrounding areas.
I provide massage therapy treatments for a wide range of musculoskeletal complaints and dysfunctions, from sports injuries to everyday muscular aches and pains.
I hold diplomas and certifications in The Hendrickson Method, remedial massage therapy, sports massage, sport and exercise science, personal training, exercise referral and nutrition.
These qualifications provide me with a great insight into the human body’s anatomy and physiology, performance and recovery.
I use soft tissue massage (STM) joint mobilisation (JM) and muscle energy techniques (MET) as part of work of practice.
Member of two accredited associations; the CNHC (The Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council, https://www.cnhcregister.org.uk/newsearch/index.cfm) of which I am the local champion. The CNHC is the UK register of complementary practitioners. Also a member of the LCSP (The London & Counties Society of Physiologists, http://www.lcsp.uk.com/members/9083/, a registered organisation of remedial masseurs and manipulative therapists.

Worked for several years in a gym as a fitness instructor/personal trainer.
Practiced 4 years in a clinic as a massage practitioner treating a variety of patients that had sustained various muscle injuries or were suffering with various orthopaedic conditions and ailments.
Personal training clients for several years.
Spent 3 years providing massage and manual therapy treatments and exercise regimes for nuns of a Convent.
Assessed, examined and implemented massage and manual therapy treatments for veterans of the armed forces for the First Light Trust.
Experience with and treated patients who have suffered a stroke, patients with cerebral palsy, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, amputees and various other disabilities.
Applied post massage and manual therapy treatments for athletes who have performed in marathons and ultra-marathons.
Provided many home visits with mobile massage therapy to patients of various ages, who have sustained muscular injuries that were caused by work, hobbies or lifestyle factors etc, also for relaxation and wellbeing.
Instruct three fitness classes per week within the Whitby area, implementing various body weight exercises and focusing on correct exercise technique.
