Today, on World Bee Day, we would like to share this poem written by our founder and CEO James Fearnley

Hymn to the Honeybee

How we have misunderstood you
Melissa, Messenger of the light,
The Honeybee.
Companion of the Logos,
The one remaining one.
Always a nursemaid to the human being
The detour around our divisions
Back to oneness.

Never have you doubted us
Though we have doubted you.
Throughout the whole of time,
You were present in your priestly crown
Present as a steppingstone for man:
In Babylon
In Ancient India
In Egypt
In the Sarmoun Darq
In Greece at Ephesus
With Artemis the Guide
And Melissa and the Essene
your priestess and your priest .

Come back this day into our true imagination
No longer just metaphor for sweetness
But as companion to our metamorphosis.
Have patience with our prayer
As once more we honour you
Asking your consent to be an arc
Which can guide us from these darkened times
To a braver start
To a new awakening of the human heart .

We’re looking forward to the Lincoln College Herbal Conference this Saturday in Lincoln! It promises to be an informative day celebrating the power of plants and herbal medicine, with some fantastic talks lined up and a great chance to meet fellow professionals, students and enthusiasts.
