The festive season is nearly upon us and this year at JV Sports Therapy we want to give you the gift of relaxation. So until the 24th December, 60 or 90 minute appointments for therapeutic massage with Matt will be 10% off. Perfect to take a little "you" time in the busy (and sometimes stressful!) run up to Christmas. You've worked hard this year, so why not treat yourself or a loved one. 🎁

This offer is applicable from 14/11-24/12, 2025. Discount is applicable to appointments with Matt only.

I always forget to post these reviews, but I am so grateful for each one of them. These reviews make such a big difference to small businesses and I hugely appreciate everyone who takes the time to share feedback.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is particularly important to me as my amazing mum is a breast cancer survivor. She was diagnosed at 51 and is now 15 years clear and living in good health. Early detection and treatment was key here. πŸ’ͺ

As practitioners, when assessing a condition we may ask questions about systemic health that may not seem immediately connected to the source of the discomfort/pain, this allows us to screen for any underlying causes. In most cases the condition is musculoskeletal and we can go ahead with treatment, but if something isn't adding up we may encourage you to contact your GP to further investigate any underlying issues.

When you blink and it's October πŸŽƒ It's been a bit quiet here on socials but very busy behind the scenes! My goals as a practitioner are to reduce pain and get you moving back towards your goals in as few sessions as possible (while I love getting to know my patients it is also always a great feeling to know I have helped fix an issue and they can walk away feeling good!) If you have an injury or ongoing pain I am here to help - you can book in via my website, or if you have any questions feel free to contact me.

Now that we're well into the summer holidays, I asked my assistant Brenda for her best tips to feel the very best you can in your body this summer πŸ’ͺ🏼 Here's what she had to say...

β˜€οΈ Stay hydrated in the heat! If you're feeling particularly dehydrated, try coconut water which is full of electrolytes πŸ₯₯
β˜€οΈ Don't forget your SPF... and to stay out of the sun during the hottest parts of the day. Did you know UVA rays can be just as damaging in overcast weather as they are when it's sunny? πŸŒ₯️
β˜€οΈ If you have a sore shoulder, back, knee, ankle or anything in between, don't forget to book in at JV Sports Therapy to get you feeling great again this summer 😎

Happy summer everyone!

Those of you keenly following Wimbledon are likely to have noticed some players with circular markings on their skin, this is from dry cupping. Dry cupping is commonly used to promote healing and reduce muscle soreness. I am a big fan myself and it can be very effective for certain conditions!

If you think it's something you'd like to try but aren't sure if it's the best fit for you, drop me a message πŸ˜ƒ or feel free to book in via www.jvsportstherapy.co.uk 🌐

Also, in case you missed it, due to popular demand Matt is now offering 90 minute full body therapeutic massage, this will be a relaxing and restorative option if that's what you're needing this busy time of year! πŸ’†

Take care in the heat this weekend... don't forget to stay hydrated 😎
