We are human and. we all make mistakes and forget things. And, we know that emergencies will come up too causing you to miss appointments. In a service business where appointments must be booked for treatments, your appointment time is reserved for and dedicated to you and only you. If you will kindly give us a 24-hour cancellation notice, we can usually fill the spot and everyone wins. We can’t ‘sell’ that time to someone else if we don’t know in advance that you aren’t going to be there. As I'm sure you can appreciate if you don't give a minimum of 24 hours notice then you will be charged the full cost of the treatment as our cancellation policy outlines
We are always willing to work together for a win-win and even give a free pass when it’s the right thing to do for an 80% type of client who encounters the rare urgency that prevents them from being able to make it in. thankyou

Sunglasses & Sun Damage a little truth check

You might have heard that those darker patches on your cheekbones or across the bridge of your nose are caused by sunlight reflecting off your sunglasses.

That’s actually not quite accurate . Those patches are usually a form of sun-induced pigmentation (often called melasma), which loves to appear on the cheeks, forehead, and nose the very areas most exposed to UV light. Sunlight stimulates pigment-producing cells (melanocytes), leading to uneven tone and darker patches

But Sunglasses still matter a lot because:
They shield the delicate skin around your eyes from direct UV rays.
They reduce the scatter and reflection of light from surfaces like water, sand, or pavements.
They help prevent not just pigmentation, but also premature wrinkles and eye conditions.

So reach for your sunglasses (or my case search for them and realise they are on my head already! ) But also use an SPF and maybe a wide-brimmed hat, and you’re giving your skin (and eyes) a real gift of care

Going on Holiday

I’m heading off for a little change of scenery… see you in September
Just a little note to say I’m away for the next couple of weeks a working holiday this time, with a mix of planning, creating, and the odd coastal walk or coffee stop to keep the brain happy.

I’ll be back in September ready to help you melt away tension, smooth away stress lines, and get you moving with more ease again.

If you’d like to book your post-holiday massage, facial, Pilates or yoga spot, now’s a good time to secure it my diary tends to fill up fast when I get back.

Until then, here’s a little ‘while I’m away’ list to keep you feeling relaxed, supple, and glowing until we meet again.

🌺 15 Things to Do While I’m Away
1. Swap one rushed cup of cofee tea for one where you actually sit and drink while it’s still hot.
2. Do gentle face massage while cleansing upwards circles only, no dragging.
3. Stretch your neck and shoulders when the kettle boils.
4. Keep hydrated skin loves water more than expensive creams.
5. Try a DIY foot soak with Epsom salts pepermint tea bag and warm water.
6. Sleep with one extra pillow to slightly elevate your head reduces puffiness.
7. Put your phone down 30 mins before bed your skin loves beauty sleep.
8. Use a warm flannel to gently warm your face before massaging in moisturiser.
9. Bookend your day with three deep belly breaths.
10. Keep SPF handy clouds don’t block UV.
11. Treat your hands to hand cream after washing dishes.
12. Swap a sugary snack for a handful of nuts or berries.
13. Walk outside every day circulation = glow.
14. Roll your shoulders back when you notice yourself slouching.

When ‘just a twinge’ becomes your new way of walking

You know how it goes…
First it’s a little stiffness after golf, running, or a weekend of “just shifting a few things” in the garden.
Then it’s the interesting shuffle you do for a week afterwards. That holding onto to the chair arms as you sit down and standup that instinctive hand to the back

The solution?
Sports massage , it isn’t just for elite athletes . it’s for anyone whose muscles are protesting after life’s activities (planned or otherwise).
