Why do i do this ? What better result is there than to see someone at the end of their session smiling , moving and relaxed ?! I provide solutions that really enable clients to live life to the full and not be restricted by lack of movement , pain discomfort, lessening strength, balance, and other such issues which often are resulting from the effect that peri/postmenopause has on our bodies and minds . I have been working with womens bodies and minds for many years using massage and yoga and have recently added coaching fitnesspilates (after having practiced pilates for many years and gained real benefits ) to the mix to offer the best allround solutions tailored to each client

Recovery Is Where Change Happens

If your body feels like it’s falling behind, it may just be under-recovered.
Your body needs time to keep up with your life. You’re used to getting things done, Pushing through. Keeping going. And for a long time, your body kept up. But Now it’s asking for something slightly different.
Bones and joints adapt during recovery. That’s when they repair, strengthen, and catch up. Without it, things start to feel. More tired, Less responsive and definitely Slower to bounce back. Not because you’re failing Or getting older but because you’ve been carrying a lot.

Breath & Musculoskeletal Pain Patterns

If you’ve got recurring aches, your breathing might be part of the pattern. Breathing patterns are linked to joint discomfort. Breathing isn’t just about oxygen it’s part of your whole movement system. When breathing is off, then the body compensates. And that can show up over time as Back pain, Neck tension and General stiffness.

Yoga Myth : You have to sit cross-legged to do yoga.

Ah yes, the mythical perfect lotus pose. Beautiful in theory. In real life? For me it’s a recipe for pins and needles , a numb bum , uncomfortable knees and ankles .

The truth? You can sit on a chair, lie on your back, or curl up with a cushion mountain if that feels better. There are no yoga police. No one’s handing out gold stars for bendiness.

In our yoga sessions, we focus on what feels good for your body not what it looks like in a photo. Comfort is key. Kindness is essential. And relaxation is the real goal.

Boring but true Consistency is key to gaining the benefits of yoga.

Try to attend classes regularly, wether a class online or your own session whether its 5mins or 60 mins . Over time, you’ll notice improvements in strength, flexibility, and how you feel and breathe. Set a schedule that fits your lifestyle your life demands and stick to it. Which is often easier said than done!

Exercise is for everyone, regardless of age or fitness level. So, take a deep breath, relax, and enjoy your time on the mat!
