MEE-FIT

MEE-FIT Hey, Dan here. It’s nice to have you checking out our page

We are not really into talking too much about our professional history. So let’s talk more about you.

Because the thing is, I know that most people visiting this page don’t really want to know about me, they are looking for a sign that we might be the right people to help them. If you are on this page looking for a bit of support and guidance, then nothing we tell you here can change much. Certainly not a long list of our qualifications and experience. The art of helping people achieve incredible and long lasting change comes from getting to understand what makes you happy. So here is a little task for you;

I want you to imagine what would be a perfect day for you would be. How much energy would you need to enjoy your perfect day? How would you LOVE to look on your perfect day? What one thing about the way you look would you change to ensure the day was even more perfect? And if you need some help with any of those things, then feel free to send me an email to dan@meefit.co.uk

and we can help you figure out if we are the right people to support you. Enjoy the rest of your day,

Coach Dan

Overrated or underrated?

We put a few common fitness habits to the coaches… and got a mix of answers.

Some things people rely on more than they should
Some things people overlook completely

“Starting on a Monday” was an interesting one.
For some, it gives structure.
For others, it just becomes another restart point.

As always, it depends on the person.

What do you think? Let us know in the comments below👇

The evenings are getting lighter.

And for a lot of people, that brings the same thought…

“I should probably start doing something again.”

Not a complete overhaul.
Just a bit more energy.
A bit more strength.
Feeling better day to day.

The mistake is waiting for motivation.

It usually comes after you start, not before.

A couple of sessions a week.
A bit of structure.
The right environment.

That’s where things begin to change.

If it’s been on your mind lately, take that as your sign.

Most people don’t struggle because they don’t know what to do.

It’s because they can’t stick at anything.

That stop-start cycle… trying diets, doing bits of exercise, falling off again, it’s frustrating, and it wears you down over time.

That was exactly the situation here.

What changed wasn’t some perfect plan.

It was finding a place where it felt easier to show up.

Friendly faces. Support from coaches. No pressure to keep up.

From there, consistency started to build, and so did the results.

If you’ve felt stuck like that before, you’re not alone.

Sometimes it’s not about trying harder. It’s about finding the right environment.

If that sounds like you, we’re here when you’re ready.

New training block starts today!

Over the next 10 weeks we’ll be working towards:

– 2-rep max bench press
– 3-rep max deadlift
– Max distance Broad jumps

Upper body strength.
Lower body strength.
Moving with intent.

As always, the focus is steady progress.
Great coaching.
Turning up consistently.

If you’re training with us, let’s get stuck in.
If you’re not and you’re thinking about building real strength this year, drop us a message and let’s see what we can do for you.

A lot of parents will hear themselves in this.

In Episode 37 of the MEE-FIT Podcast, Sarah talks openly about feeling lost, being stuck in the all-or-nothing cycle, and believing that putting herself first was selfish.

What changed wasn’t perfection.
It was consistency.

A reminder that looking after yourself doesn’t take away from your family.
It helps you show up better for them.

You can watch or listen to the full conversation in Episode 37 of the MEE-FIT Podcast.

Got an injury? Recovering from surgery? Stuck in a brace or dealing with a pain flare-up?

It’s easy to think you have to stop training completely, but that’s not true.

The Cross-Education effect shows that training one side of your body can help keep the other side strong. Studies show strength can improve by 8–20% in the untrained limb, simply because your nervous system keeps the connection alive.

In simple terms: your brain remembers how to use the muscle, even if that side isn’t training.

This means you don’t have to lose all your progress while you recover, you just need to train smarter.

If you’re not sure how to adapt your training, the team at MEE-FIT is here to help you stay safe, strong, and moving forward.

At 65, Liz didn’t start training because something was wrong.

She started because she wanted to keep the health she already had.

Before Mee-Fit, she had a gym membership she barely used.

Now she’s training consistently and already noticing something important:

“I can feel my muscles coming back.”

Sometimes the goal isn’t transformation.

Sometimes it’s simply staying strong for the years ahead.

If you’re thinking about starting, just give it a go.

The MEE-FIT Games are happening.

Saturday 11th April.
At MEE-FIT HQ.

You don’t need to be “competitive”.
You don’t need to be the fittest.

You just need to be willing to have a go.

More details soon.

For now, put the date in your diary.

I asked our members one question:

“What surprised you most about training here?”

It wasn’t weight loss.

One person said the friendships.
Another said how friendly the gym felt from day one.
Someone else was surprised how everything could be tailored around an old injury.

But the most common answer?

Strength.

Several members said they didn’t realise they could still become this strong at this stage of life.

Sometimes the biggest surprise is simply realising what you’re still capable of.
