✨There’s No One-Size-Fits-All Plate✨

Is there a right way or a wrong way to eat?

I was chatting with some girlfriends recently, and we ended up comparing what we eat, when we eat it, and how we feel after.

One of them swears by a warming bowl of porridge first thing — it keeps her full and energised until lunchtime.
Another finds porridge just doesn’t cut it for her, no matter what she adds. A chia pudding feels better in her body.
One loves starting the day with eggs; another feels best eating between 10am and 6pm only.

We ranged in age and stage of life, and none of us were managing major health issues — and yet, we all eat in completely different ways that work for us.

So... who’s right?

The truth is, there’s no universal answer. We’re all different. Our bodies, our needs, our energy, and even our emotional relationship with food — all deeply personal. What nourishes one person might leave another craving something else entirely.

But the common thread?
Each of these women is in tune with her body. They listen. They trust themselves.
And maybe… that’s the key.

Instead of following the latest wellness trend or diet fad, what if we just turned inward and asked:
👉 What does my body need today?
👉 What food makes me feel steady, vibrant, well?
👉 How do I feel after eating – physically, emotionally, energetically?

That, to me, is the heart of real wellbeing — understanding what helps us function and feel our best, in our body.

💛 No rules. No shame. Just tuning in.

🌿✨ Just a gentle reminder from me to you…

It’s not the to-do lists, the inbox, or the endless noise around us that truly matters. It’s the moments — those small, sacred pauses in our day — that leave the biggest mark.

The warm hug from your child as the sun rises.
That quiet moment over breakfast when no one’s rushing.
A smile shared. A message sent just to say, “I’m thinking of you.” 💬💛

These are the threads that weave our days into something meaningful.
Moments of connection, kindness, and love.

Simple gestures that ripple out and gently shape the world around us.
So today, slow down — even if just for a moment — and soak it all in.

Because these are the things we carry in our hearts. Always. ✨

Sunday Evening Musings: On Intention

Earlier this week, while at the gym, something quietly shifted in my awareness. One moment I was immersed in my usual routine, and the next, my focus softened and drifted to the people around me. A diverse group, each seemingly on their own path toward health and wellness, yet something about the energy in the room caught me.

I noticed a few people moving through exercises with a kind of dullness—not laziness, but almost a lack of presence. My first instinct was to question myself: Am I judging them? Or is there something deeper going on here? That’s when a piece of writing I once read surfaced in my mind—it was about intention.

And then the question quietly turned inward: What’s my intention with this workout? With this machine? Am I here with purpose, or just moving through the motions because it’s what I “should” do?

I looked around again, more curiously this time, and included myself in the observation. I saw others, not disinterested exactly, but perhaps disconnected. I couldn’t help but wonder—if we all brought more intention to this space, would we move differently? Feel differently? See better results?

That led me down another thought path (as my mind often wanders): What if we brought that same intention to everyday life? What if we approached our mornings, our conversations, our meals, our quiet moments—even the mundane—with purpose, presence, and heart? Not necessarily striving for perfection or big outcomes, but simply choosing to do the best we can, right there in that moment.

Wouldn’t that be something powerful?

So, as this Sunday winds down, I leave you with the same gentle nudge I gave myself:
Can you bring more intention into your day, whatever it holds?
Can you choose to show up fully, even for the small things?

That, to me, feels like a beautiful way to live.

Our Story

Gluten/Dairy/Egg/Soya Free Vegan bake and Wellness Practitioner. All homemade, suitable for coeliacs and those with food intolerances. I make birthday / celebration cakes and cater for ‘free from’ afternoon teas.

I have worked in the health and fitness industry for the last 15 years. After being diagnosed with Coeliac disease 10 years who I turned my hand to baking and making delicious ‘free from’ goods. I love being able to help people with food intolerances to enjoy food in a way they never thought was possible. I offer food intolerance testing, exercise prescription (personal training / Pilates based) and offer advice on how to lead a healthier more balanced life.
