We celebrated VE DAY in style this afternoon with entertainment provided by the fabulous Louisa 😀

Louisa sang a selection of songs from the 1940s to compliment VE DAY🇬🇧

There was lots of flag waving, singing and dancing.

It was a wonderful way to kick start the weekend!

We are ready for VE Day. Come and join us at 2pm for entertainment by Louisa from the Spitfire Sisters for War-time sing-songs. Tea and coffee afterwards.

We were absolutely delighted to welcome our friends from 'Whitchurch in bloom' who kindly volunteered to help activities coordinator Gemma launch her new garden club, 'Wessex in bloom'

This wonderful sensory activity gave our residents the opportunity to be a part of this exciting community project.

Ashley and Carol along with a few others wasted no time in getting stuck in.

Together with our lovely volunteers, they helped to shake out the soil and then planted an assortment of seeds including herbs, fruit and some pretty flowers in to our two trugs.

We can wait to see the labours of our hard work come to fruition in the coming weeks😊

Always in the know, our Activities Coordinator Gemma spotted that a steam train would be passing through the local station this afternoon 🚂✨

Thanks to some quick organising and the fantastic support of Home Manager Sherlyn, Administrator Kirsten and carer Christina, a lovely trip was soon underway!

Gemma and the team were delighted to take Donald, Pauline and Carol to see the train. A wonderful afternoon filled with excitement, smiles, and a touch of nostalgia 💛
