🎉 We’re thrilled to announce the opening of our brand-new home, Upland Manor Care Home!

Our team has worked tirelessly to create a bespoke, purpose-built luxury care home, perfectly situated in the heart of Northern Moor.

Recently, some of our lovely residents from Ashlands Manor Care Centre — Gwen, Ann, and Joyce — had the opportunity to visit and gave Upland Manor Care Home their seal of approval:

“It’s absolutely gorgeous — there’s nothing I don’t like about it. I’d move in tomorrow if it weren’t for the fact I love my home and life at Ashland Manor!”

This cherished photo captures Margaret with her parents and five siblings, a lively household full of love and laughter.

Growing up as one of six children shaped Margaret’s childhood through the challenges of wartime and rationing, with family always at the heart of it. Later in life, she discovered that one of her sisters wasn’t her biological sibling... A revelation that only deepened her understanding of family and the bonds that truly matter. ✨

The ladies enjoyed some art therapy and playing the shopping game this morning, followed by 'Guess the movie star' - which really got their memories ticking!

We had a fun-filled weekend at Regency! 🤩 Vincent continues to enjoy his jigsaw puzzles, and Eileen enjoyed having her lovely hair done!

On Saturday afternoon, the ladies enjoyed a variety of activities such as the number game and catching the balloon! 🎈

Halloween fun at Regency 🎃 On Sunday, we started the day with some fun ball games that had everyone laughing, followed by a Halloween quiz, and finished with the movie Hocus Pocus, which everyone really enjoyed. 🧙‍♀️

Yesterday was full of fun at Regency. We started with a bean bag game, where Margaret proudly showed off her certificate 😁, followed by a cone game full of laughs! We then enjoyed a “Guess the Birds” quiz.

In the afternoon, we had a lovely trip to Heaton Fold Garden Centre with Leanne, Celia, Joyce, and Joyce. We had the best time exploring together and soaking up the beautiful atmosphere🥰

The feeling of home brought Ted to Lovett Care, and every day, we honour that sense of belonging in everything we do.

Ted and his wife, married for 35 wonderful years, share a lifetime of memories — from travels across the globe to countless trips to their beloved Italy. They both have a wonderfully positive outlook on life, and his wife visits him daily, sharing laughter, stories, and moments that mean the world to both of them. In her own words, “I feel like I’m part of the family here.”

A lovely Sunday at Regency Care Home 🥰 Brenda and friends enjoyed memory games and tried their hand at art therapy.

Cathrine and Marion made their very own pom-poms for their bedrooms, and were so impressed with their creations. 😁

We also had a fun general knowledge quiz and ended the day with plenty of laughter and smiles watching Morecambe & Wise. 🎬

We had a busy weekend! We had a morning quiz with Trish which everyone enjoyed, followed by some exercises to keep everyone active 🥰

The ladies enjoyed some glass painting and playing dominos, and then our Sunday was spent doing some art therapy and making some crafts for their own doors 😍
