If you want the result, prepare your body for it first—strength, control, and awareness are what set you up to succeed. Stop chasing the outcome and start building the foundation.

If your handstand feels heavy, unstable, or inconsistent… it’s usually not your balance — it’s your strength and control.
And one of the most underrated ways to build that?
Chaturanga.

Most people either avoid it, rush it, or do it in a way that doesn’t actually build the strength they need.
👉 A beginner-friendly version to help you build strength safely and with control
👉 An intermediate/advanced version to challenge your body and refine your alignment

Because when you learn how to own your chaturanga — shoulders, core, and control all working together — everything changes…

Save this, come back to it, and start building real strength from the ground up.
Comment HANDSTAND if you want help taking this further.

There’s power in repeating the same flow again and again — what feels simple is often what transforms you. The real progress doesn’t usually come from constantly doing more, but from returning to the fundamentals with patience and intention. Every repetition builds strength, awareness and confidence, until what once felt effortful starts to feel natural. Simple, consistent practice is often where the deepest shifts happen.

So many women reach their 40’s and quietly start believing the story that it’s time to slow down…to be careful, to stop challenging themselves, that certain things like learning to handstand, are for younger bodies.

I don’t buy that!
I believe 40’s can be a time to get stronger, not smaller. To become more capable, not less. To move towards challenge, not away from it. I could have let age become a limitation, let my body grow stiffer, weaker, more cautious.

Instead, I chose not to stay locked in that cage. I chose to keep exploring what my body can do. And build strength, mobility, confidence. To push beyond the stories we’ve been handed about ageing. And honestly? Learning things like handstands isn’t really about handstands. It’s about proving to yourself you’re still growing. Still capable. Still powerful.

If you ever thought, maybe I’m too old to start, let this be your reminder:you’re not! You might just be right on time.

If learning handstands is something you’ve secretly wanted to try, comment HANDSTAND and let’s chat.

I was told handstands wouldn’t be an option for me.
After my accident, even weight bearing was uncertain… let alone getting upside down.
But I rebuilt my body — properly.
And learned what actually makes handstands work.
Now I coach people who feel stuck, confused, or like it’s just “not for them.”
It’s not you. It’s the approach.
If you want to finally get your handstand…
Comment HANDSTAND and I’ll be in touch.

There’s something powerful about women over 40 choosing to get upside down.
Handstands aren’t just about balance.
They’re about bone density, joint integrity, shoulder strength, and nervous system confidence.

They challenge you in ways that keep your body adaptable… and your mind sharp.
Because longevity isn’t about slowing down.
It’s about training in a way that keeps you capable, curious, and strong for life.
And honestly… there’s something pretty incredible about being able to kick up into a handstand in your 40s, 50s, and beyond.

This isn’t just practice.
It’s investment.

My headstand workshop for complete beginners — and what a group it was.
Over half had never gone upside down before, so the nerves were real. But this is exactly why preparation matters. When the body feels supported and the nervous system feels safe, everything begins to shift — strength shows up, focus sharpens, and confidence builds.

And today, every single person found their headstand.
Not because they forced it, but because they trusted the process, stayed present, and were willing to try.
I’m so proud of each of them — showing up, leaning into the discomfort, and discovering what they’re capable of.

This is what it’s all about.

Strength isn’t just about how much you can lift or how steady you can hold a pose—it’s in the way you keep showing up, even when it feels hard. It’s built quietly over time, through consistency, patience, and a willingness to stay with yourself when things get uncomfortable. The more you practice, the more you realise strength isn’t something you chase—it’s something you become.
