The idea to put this program together has been on my mind for a while, keep reading to find out what is the concept behind this project.

Even though weight training and sports has been my passion for over 20 years I always felt that there was a need for me to train with a purpose, exercise not only because of the aesthetic side but really take care of is underneath the skin like for example integrate longevity to the joints, be strong and supple.
Initially I incorporated Pilates on my training routine to help me improve my balance, soon felt in love with it as it improved my posture, my body awareness and not only I performed better at the gym but also became more confident to take on new challenges.

I was so impressed by my transformation that I decided to become a teacher so I could share and inspired others.

Along my 5 years of personal training and 7 years of teaching Pilates I have been blessed with working with people of all ages and from many backgrounds and one thing is for sure, everyone has a lot to gain by combining Pilates with weight and cardio training:

-Improve flexibility /better joint mobility
-Better balance and coordination
-Increase muscle tone that help maintain strong bones
-Increase body awareness and over all confidence
-Improve general health
-Feel great and energised

Since working with Paul, we have tried to get lean before and it always got to the point of being hard. We got down to a reasonable Bodyfat but those elusive abs weren’t anywhere to be seen.
Sometimes people jump on the scales and see them going down…….until they go too far down and the number is lower than they wanted and still body-fat isn’t low enough to show the desired look. Usually resulting in panic mode and the need to add weight as fast as possible 🤨
This can often be counter productive because the areas that aren’t lean enough I.e the stomach and maybe the lower back area will only fill up the quickest usually with fat.
My only advice when faced with the above scenario is forget the scales, go for the look and if that means the scales going lower than planned then that’s the way it has to be because the person doesn’t hold enough muscle at that point.
Now we are in a great position for a bulking phase and if done effectively Paul could produce a good bit of tissue and the next time we do this we won’t have to go as low on the scales to get that desired look.
Here’s a dead simple mindset to adopt when training “train like you will miss the next session” that way you will leave the gym giving 100% always

Gym Anxiety, weight to lose & no motivation. Look what that concoction can create.

27 DAYS LATER....

To think that Chelsea wouldn’t even S T E P on to the gym floor at first. To this being 27 days difference in her body.

As a trainer it’s so easy to get hung up about weight, inches & making progress. However what was most important is making it to the fu***ng GYM!

This is what my girl had to say..

I am a very anxious person, I was in a rut and would go places and surround myself with people I knew.

Just the thought of stepping into a gym, not knowing who could be there and who i may see made my anxiety peak.

The fear of the unknown I guess. My anxiety had a massive effect on my confidence and own self-image so I decided it’s time to change!

I originally joined with the gym, i honestly didn’t even think I’d stick to that but days later I was told about the personal trainers. I said I needed banter and preferably female...along came SOPHIA 😊

My first meet with her I felt completely at ease we got straight into it.

What surprised me the most about training is how you zone out and the peace you feel at the gym. Which is a big thing for me with my anxiety.

My favourite part of the training has to be the laugh we had, the sense of achievement when the session was complete and seeing my body change.

If I could give anyone in my situation advice I would say stick with it.

At the end of the day Chelsea wouldn’t even step on the gym floor and physically would shake with fear about even being upstairs in the gym.

I can’t believe how far you have come in 27 days!!
