๐๐ Back to School Reflections ๐๐
As the new school term begins, many parents are preparing uniforms, sharpening pencils and taking those all-important โfirst day backโ photos.
But for some families in our community, this time of year can carry a heavy weight.
โจ It might be the reminder of a child who should have been in that class, standing proudly in their new uniform.
โจ It might be seeing the flood of โback to schoolโ pictures online when you donโt have one to share.
โจ It might be the quiet that follows once older children are back in class โ leaving more space for grief to rise after the busy distraction of the summer holidays.
โจ For those whoโve experienced a more recent loss, the shift in routine can feel especially overwhelming, as the reality of whatโs missing sinks in even deeper.
If youโre finding this time hard, please know you are not alone. Your feelings are valid, whether they come as tears, anger, numbness, or simply a deep ache.
We see you. We hold space for you. ๐
If you need support, reach out โ to a trusted friend, to us or to someone who understands the journey you are on.
You never have to walk this path alone.
