We’ve got something brilliant planned for next Thursday (16th April) – we're teaming up with the 180 run club for an awareness 5k!

If you haven't heard of 180 before, they are a really relaxed social run club where the cake at the finish line is genuinely more important than your pace. So please don't let the word "run" put you off if you're not the fastest.

A couple of the AMC Whitehaven facilitators will be heading down early before the run starts, if you fancy lacing up your trainers, or even if you just want to pop down beforehand to find out a bit more about what we do or how the run club works, come and say hello. We're always happy to have a chat.

The plan:
We’ll be setting off at around 6pm from the Harbour Master.

Whether you're planning to run, jog, or walk we’d absolutely love to see you down there.

NHS bowel cancer screening kits are offered to everyone aged between 50 and 74.

They can help find cancer early, before you even have any symptoms. And the earlier cancer is found, the easier it can be to treat.

When your kit arrives, put it by the loo. Don’t put it off.

Let someone else know they should send their kit back – especially as April is Bowel Cancer Awareness month.
