Are you missing out on Attendance Allowance?
Attendance Allowance is available to anyone of State Pension age with physical or mental disabilities and who need help with daily living tasks.
Attendance Allowance is not means tested so your finances won't be checked to work out if you are entitled. If you are awarded you may be entitled to other benefits such as Pension Credit as your living threshold will increase. You can also apply for attendance allowance if you pay for your care in a care home.
To claim, you don't need to be receiving assistance already, you just need to show that you will benefit from it.
Why might I not qualify for Attendance Allowance?
You are NOT eligible if...
- you already receive Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
- you receive Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
- you live in a care home and the local authority already contributes to your costs
How much is Attendance Allowance per week?
The amount of Attendance Allowance you get depends on whether you need help during the day or both day and night.
If you need help during the day: £73.90 Weekly
If you need help during the day and night: £110.40 Weekly
