Autumn is often defined by the colourful changes we see in our natural surroundings. Floral displays at this time of year bring together hues of orange, bronze, gold and mustard.

Here's one of our favourite autumnal arrangements. What's yours?

Today marks the beginning of Baby Loss Awareness Week. Having met with families who've experienced the unimaginable loss of a baby, we've witnessed their agony and heartbreak first-hand.

On this day, we stand with parents and families worldwide who've been affected by baby loss, and honour those lives that have been lost too soon.

We hope this is something you never have to go through, but if you do, we're here to support you.

As it's , we celebrate the wide-ranging work we're privileged to hear at the funerals of families we serve.

We've listened to national bards, number one bestsellers, and poet laureates - even limericks written the night before. In its special way, poetry cuts to the heart of saying goodbye.

Enjoy listening to the words of Helen Lowrie Marshall's 'Afterglow', as read by staff representing the different regions we serve.

We were delighted to donate a set of coffin trestles to St Mary's RC Church recently, not just for our use, but by all of our funeral directing colleagues.

Funeral Director Kim was on hand to present the trestles to Fr Andrew Faley, who by all accounts, was very pleased!

At the end of last week, our CEO, Tim Purves (right), and COO, Andrew Purves (left), joined funeral directors from across the UK at this year’s National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) Conference in the Cotswolds.

As Scottish President of NAFD, Tim continues to represent funeral directors in Scotland at the highest level, supported by Andrew’s insight and perspective into key industry matters.

A highlight of the weekend was joining with our colleague Izabella Rennie (centre) to celebrate her graduation —she was officially awarded her Diploma in Funeral Directing (DipFD). Well done, Izabella, on reaching such a huge milestone, which is a testament to your dedication to serving families with care and professionalism.
