When something activates you,
your system doesn’t just create a feeling.

It creates movement.

Energy mobilises in the body
to respond, protect, or act.

If that movement completes,
the system naturally returns to balance.

But often it doesn’t.

The moment passes.
The reaction is suppressed.
The energy gets held instead of expressed.

And that’s what we experience as tension, overwhelm, or emotional charge.

Not because something is wrong.
But because something didn’t get to finish.

When the system begins to feel safe again,
it will try to complete that cycle.

Energy starts to move.

Through breath.
Through the body.
Through release.

This is why shaking, crying, or movement can happen.
Not as something to make happen.
But as something the body already knows how to do.

And this is where understanding yourself as energy changes everything.

Because instead of trying to control the experience,
you begin to work with it.

To allow the movement
in a way that feels safe and supported.

or like there’s more underneath what you’re experiencing.

Sometimes you can feel it in your body.
Sometimes it shows up as tension, overwhelm, or just not quite being able to settle.
That’s the layer we’re working with here.

In this Breathwork & Reiki workshop with , we’re not trying to figure anything out.
We’re creating the space for your system to do what it naturally does when it’s supported.
The breath opens the door.
The body responds.
And Reiki supports what’s ready to move.

Sometimes something small happens…
and your reaction feels bigger than the moment in front of you.

More intense.
More emotional.
Harder to come back from.

And it’s easy to make that mean something about you.
That you’re too much.
Too sensitive.
Overreacting.
But what’s actually happening is different.

The system isn’t just responding to what’s in front of you.
It’s responding to everything it’s holding.
Stored emotional energy.
Past experiences.
Beliefs and stories that have built around those experiences.

So when something touches that place,
it doesn’t just bring one feeling up.
It brings all of it.
That’s why it can feel so strong.
And that’s why it doesn’t mean something is wrong.
It means something is being activated.
Not to overwhelm you.
But to be seen, felt, and eventually moved.

When you understand this,
the relationship to those moments begins to change.
Less self-judgment.
More awareness.
More capacity to stay with what’s there.
And that’s where the shift begins.

There’s a point where doing this work on your own
only takes you so far.

Not because you’re not capable.
But because your system can only open
to what it feels safe to hold.
And on your own,
that capacity has a limit.

When you come into a space with others,
something shifts.
The body responds.
The nervous system settles differently.
There’s more steadiness available.

But it’s more than that.
The space itself changes.
It becomes clearer.
Stronger.
More open.
As if everything that’s there
has more room to move.

And in that space…
things rise that haven’t been able to before.
Not because you’re pushing for it.
Not because you’re trying harder.
But because there is finally enough
to hold it.

This is why group spaces can move things
that don’t always move alone.

What we often call a “reaction” doesn’t start where we think it does.

By the time you notice yourself reacting…
your system is already in motion.
Because reaction begins earlier.
As activation.

Something in your system registers a threat — often based on past experience, not just what’s in front of you.
Energy starts to mobilise.
The body prepares.
Heart rate changes.
Breath shifts.
Muscles tighten.

And if there isn’t enough awareness or safety in that moment,
the system follows its learned path.
Protect.
Defend.
Get out.
Shut down.
Not because something is wrong.
But because this is how the nervous system is designed to work.

The shift happens when you start to notice this earlier.
Not when the reaction is already happening…
but when the activation begins.
When the energy first starts to move.
That moment is subtle.
And it looks different for everyone.

But learning to recognise your early signs
is what makes the pause possible.
Because once you’re deep in the reaction,
it takes time to come back.
But when you catch it early,
you can meet it with presence.
You can bring safety into the system.
And from there, something else becomes possible.
This is where emotional alchemy begins.

In the breathwork with , the mind begins to quiet.
You drop out of thinking about what’s going on…
and into actually feeling it.
That’s where things start to loosen.

Not to “do” anything to you,
but to support what’s already happening.
To steady you.
To hold you.
To help things land in a way that actually integrates.

There’s a lot that can start to move
when you begin to feel more.

When you stop pushing emotion away…
and start staying with it instead.
Things that have been held for a long time
can begin to surface.
Not all at once.
Not in a straight line.
But in layers.

And it doesn’t need to be rushed.
You don’t need to process everything at once.
You don’t need to understand everything immediately.
You don’t need to “get it right.”
Your system will only open
to the level it feels safe to hold.

So if things feel slow…
or messy…
or unclear…
that’s not a problem.
It’s part of how this work unfolds.

You’re allowed to move at the pace
your system can actually support.
And that pace is what creates real change.

To stay with what you feel.
To build safety in your own system.
To allow emotion to move without reacting.
And that work matters.

But there are also moments
where being held makes the difference.
Where your system doesn’t have to do all of it alone.
Where something in you can soften
because the space itself is steady.
Because the energy is held.
Because there is something larger
supporting what’s moving through you.

In those spaces, things can shift
that don’t always shift on your own.
Not because you’re doing it wrong.
But because sometimes the system needs
to experience being held
before it can fully hold itself.

Learning to stay with what you feel
changes everything.

There’s a difference between feeling something…
and being able to stay with it.
For many people, emotion feels overwhelming.
It rises quickly.
It takes over.
And the system either reacts, shuts down, or tries to push it away.
Not because something is wrong.
But because there isn’t yet enough safety to hold what’s there.

This is one of the biggest shifts that happens through Reiki.
Not just becoming more aware of energy…
but learning how to stay present with it.
And the reason this becomes possible is because Reiki creates a steady, regulated space for your system.
A space where your body can begin to feel safe.
Where the nervous system softens.
Where there is support holding what’s moving…
so you don’t have to do it all on your own.

From that place, something changes.
You can feel what’s moving in your body
without needing to escape it.
You can allow emotion to rise
without it taking you over.
You begin to build a steadiness in yourself
that you can actually rely on.

Reiki Level 1 is where this starts to take shape in a real, grounded way.
Through self-healing, energy awareness, and nervous system support,
you begin to create that same safety within yourself.
Not perfectly.
But consistently.
And that changes everything.

Not every emotional reaction begins in the moment you’re in.

Sometimes what’s being activated is something much older.
Unresolved energy that’s been held in the system…
carried through experiences, environments, and even generations.

When something in the present touches that place, the system responds.
That’s what a trigger is.
Not something going wrong.
But something being activated.
Without enough safety, the system does what it has learned to do.
React.
Defend.
Protect.
And the same pattern continues.

But when there is enough presence… the experience changes.
The trigger stops being something that happens to you.
And becomes something you can stay with.
The energy that rises doesn’t need to be pushed away or acted out.
It can be held.
Felt.
Allowed.
Moved.
And when it moves, something shifts.

What was held begins to release.
What was looping begins to close.
What was charged begins to soften.
This is how deeper layers of healing happen.
Not by fixing or forcing.
But by creating enough safety for what’s there
to finally move.

There comes a point where insight isn’t enough anymore.

You can see your patterns.
You can feel your emotions.
You understand what’s happening inside you.
And still… the same loops repeat.

The reaction comes.
The overwhelm rises.
The moment passes before you can meet it differently.
This is often where deeper work begins.
Not in understanding more,
but in building the capacity to stay with what arises.

Inside Embody Your Truth, this is the space we work in.
A 1:1 container designed to support you in moving through emotional and energetic patterns at the level they actually live — in the body, the nervous system, and your energy field.

Through a combination of truth coaching, Reiki, and somatic work, we create the conditions where your system can begin to feel safe enough to allow emotion to move.

Not reacting to it.
Not trying to fix it.
But meeting it.
Holding it.
Allowing it to transform.
