Did you know that stress can have a direct impact on your teeth. Whether it's a difficult time at work, doing exams or moving house you may find yourself waking up with a sore or stiff jaw, pain around your temples and sometimes in severe cases, locking of the jaw.
A simple solution if you are experiencing any of these symptoms is and to be fitted for an overnight mouth guard and some simple jaw exercises. Please speak to your Dentist if have any concerns.

Gingivitis is a common and mild form of gum disease, usually preventable, which can develop into Periodontitis, the most common cause of adult tooth loss! The main cause is plaque which is left on the teeth causing gum inflammation.
Remember to brush your teeth at least twice a day, morning and evening. And don't forget to clean between your teeth everyday with interdental aids.

The key message for sugar intake is frequency. Our dentists advise limiting your sugar intake to no more than 4 times per day, including meal times.
Look out for hidden sugars in Smoothies, fruit juices, flavoured yogurts and sauces.
