It's that awkward time again. As a small, local business, we've been under incredible pressure from costs across the board. We've held back as long as we can, but unfortunately as of May 1st, we need to increase our prices to cover some of this rise in costs. This is our first price rise for some time and has been an incredibly difficult decision. Any bookings that are already with our receptionist will be honoured at the old pricing.

I don't want to make this a political post, rather a callout for support for all of our local businesses. Please consider that the current political climate is not focussed on helping the high street irrespective of the soundbytes. We are being hurt by increases to business rates, utility bills, salaries, business supplies, among everything else. Indeed, we are now also being forced to spend more on accounting due to the new rules under Making Tax Digital.

These small decisions by individual(s) in London have massive ramifications on all of the businesses in Whitley Bay. Please remember this when you notice your coffee, bacon sandwich, pint or massage seem more expensive. Please buy local. 🙏

Christmas, as always, is fast approaching!

Just a reminder that we will be open on Christmas Eve until 5pm. We will then reopen in the New Year as normal on 5th January (we are closed during the holidays).

Summer is definitely here! As well as lavender being one of the options for your essential oil massages, we also have our own lavendar patch growing outside the shop. The scent this year is amazing!

Happy Songkran!

Songkran is the Thai New Year and is both a significant cultural event and also an incredible amount of fun! It is probably the largest annual water fight in the world enjoyed by local children and also the thousands of big kids who visit Thailand every year!

We’re welcoming the news that FREE WEEKEND on-street parking throughout December is back - great news for shoppers and visitors to the town.

The following streets are included:
Beach Avenue, Brook Street, Clifton Terrace, Coquet Avenue, Duchess Street, Duke Street, Fern Avenue, Holly Avenue, Laburnum Avenue, Jesmond Terrace, Marine Gardens, North Parade, Ocean View, Oxford Street, Park Avenue, Park Parade, Roxburgh Terrace, Station Road, Victoria Terrace.

There are also free spaces available via the following Council-managed car parks: Back Park View car park, Park Road car park, Playhouse car park, Whitley Road car park.
