We have been asked to share this opportunity to take part in a doctoral research project into how neurodivergent girls experience the social and emotional aspects of mainstream education.

Context:

I am a trainee Educational Psychologist at Newcastle University, on placement at North Tyneside, and I am currently conducting my doctoral research. My project explores how neurodivergent girls (specifically those with AuDHD) experience the social and emotional aspects of mainstream school. The study also uses creative tools to support reflection, with the aim of generating insights that can inform both practice and policy.

A little out of area but very much worth a share with our families. These FREE drop in sessions are ran by a children’s occupational therapist who runs Sensory Pathways CIC, a not-for-profit organisation supporting families of children with sensory needs.

'These sessions are designed to give families a supportive space to ask questions about their child’s sensory needs and get practical advice from a children’s occupational therapist.'

Masquer-Aid is our innovative programme designed to support neurodivergent young people at any stage of diagnosis. 💡

We offer:
🌟 A range of peer groups focused on socialisation, confidence building, and shared experiences.
🌟 1-to-1 support tailored to individual needs.
🌟 Sessions covering the topics that matter most to neurodivergent young people.
Through Masquer-Aid, young people can:

🤝 Meet others like them.
🎨 Take part in activities based on their interests.
💬 Build confidence and embrace their neurodivergence.
