Just breathe…

Sounds simple, right? But in labour, it’s so much more than that.

In our pregnancy yoga classes, we don’t just focus on keeping your body strong and mobile, we prepare your mind too.

Because birth isn’t just physical.

We teach you a powerful “birthing” toolkit - simple, effective techniques (like using a labour comb) that help you stay grounded, manage intensity, and feel more in control.

And no… it’s not about “just breathe and you’ll be fine.”

It’s about:
✨ Understanding what’s happening in your body
✨ Learning how to work with your breath
✨ Building confidence to advocate for yourself
✨ Focusing on what you can control - whatever path your labour takes

Because when your mind feels safe, your body can follow.

Strong body. Calm mind. Informed choices.

Some days you feel steady.
Some days you wobble.

Sometimes you find your balance…
sometimes your baby is your balance.

Postnatal yoga isn’t about perfect poses.
It’s about rebuilding strength, gently.
Finding moments of calm in the chaos.
And knowing you don’t have to do it alone.

Wobbles, cuddles, and all, you’re welcome here. 🤍

Pregnancy can bring so many emotions, excitement, anticipation, and sometimes a little uncertainty too.

One of the most beautiful things about pregnancy yoga is watching confidence grow week by week.

Through gentle movement, breathwork, and relaxation, you begin to reconnect with your body and trust what it already knows how to do. You start to feel stronger, calmer, and more prepared for birth and motherhood.

And perhaps just as important - you realise you’re not doing it alone. Sitting in a room with other mums-to-be, sharing the same journey, creates a really special kind of support.

If you’re pregnant and looking for a calm, nurturing space to move, breathe, and connect with your baby, I’d love to welcome you to class. 🤍

Family life is:
• Hot drinks gone cold
• Snacks everywhere
• Someone always needs something

And somehow… you miss it when it’s quiet.

Family yoga looks a bit like this…

One person doing the pose ✔
One person upside down ✔
One child pretending to be a dinosaur ✔
Someone giggling halfway through ✔

And somehow… it still counts as yoga.

No perfect poses.
No pressure.
Just movement, laughter, and a little family chaos.

Family yoga exactly as it should be. 🤍

Here’s to the mums, the m**s, the tea-makers-in-chief ☕

May your cuppa be hot,
your biscuit un-dunked by small hands,
and your five minutes of peace actually last five minutes.

Today we celebrate you
and we also hold gentle space for those missing their mum,
missing a child, longing to become a mum,
or walking a different path this Mother’s Day.

However today meets you,
you’re not alone.

Here’s to the love, the memories, the solidarity
and the rare magic of a hot cuppa. 🤍

Pregnant? Your body deserves movement that supports you and your baby.

Stretch, breathe, and connect with other mums-to-be in a safe, gentle space.

Supporting each other through the journey of life 🤍

What a lovely way to end this International Women’s Day with a Special Evening Postnatal Workshop.

I’m feeling incredibly grateful for the hundreds of women who have trusted me to be part of their pregnancies, their babies’ early days, and the many life challenges along the way.

I’m so proud of the community you create and hold for each other — on buggy walks, in class, and through the tiny moments of connection that happen every day.

Women supporting women is powerful, and it’s a privilege to witness it.

It’s 2:11am.

You said you wouldn’t Google. You are Googling😅

🔎 “Are babies nocturnal?”
🔎 “How much sleep do you need to survive?”
🔎 “Can babies sense when you put them down?”
🔎 “Top ten white noise playlist?”

Also…Why does the whole house now sound like:
🌊 a hurricane in a tunnel✈️ an aircraft preparing for takeoff📺 untuned 90s television static

At this point the white noise is so aggressive even you feel like you’re being shushed.

Shore Yoga mamas 🤍 before you open another tab…

• One hand on heart
• One on belly
• Inhale for 4
• Slow sigh for 6
• Unclench your jaw

Your baby’s nervous system is still learning.
Yours is the anchor.

And yes… they absolutely do know when you attempt the cot transfer!!

Breathe first.
Google later.
Turn the “jet engine” down slightly.

Yogi Mum

Hi I’m Nicola :)

The photo below was taken the day before my son was born a poignant moment where one chapter was closing and a new one about to open. After being made redundant for the second time and also being pregnant my future was filled with unknowns.

I have practiced yoga for over 15 years and it wasn’t until I became pregnant that I realised I had become so disconnected from myself. I learned to breath again. When my son arrived into the world I had a renewed purpose, I knew I didn’t want to return to a career in the rat race.

I decided to take a journey down a new path, following a dream and qualified as a 200HR Hatha Yoga Teacher specialising in pre and postnatal yoga. Working with women through such a special and pivotal time in their life, supporting them on their journey into motherhood and beyond is a huge privilege. I LOVE my job!
