Trust me… the balloon makes sense by slide 3 🎈🏓

Because birth doesn’t have to feel like a mystery.

When you see how your body works, how the uterus contracts, how your baby moves down, how the cervix softens and opens, something shifts. Fear softens. Trust builds.

Your body isn’t just “coping” in labour…it’s designed for it.

That balloon? It shows how pressure builds from the top of the uterus to guide your baby down.
That ping pong ball? That’s your baby, moving with each wave, not being forced.

And here’s the bit no one talks about enough…
Your jaw, your face, your breath - they matter.

A soft jaw = a soft pelvic space.
A long exhale = space for baby to descend.

In my classes, we don’t just stretch, we prepare.
Body, breath, and mind.

So when labour begins, you recognise what’s happening…and you know how to work with it.

It’s the end of the school holidays and that back-to-school feeling is creeping in 💛

If your little ones are feeling wobbly about going back—or just need a bit of comfort when you’re not there—try this simple technique:

⭐ The Star Breath
Draw a small star on your child’s hand (and one on yours too).
Tell them: “Whenever you feel nervous or miss me, trace your star and breathe.”

As they trace each point of the star with their finger:
Inhale up one side…
Exhale down the other…

Slow, steady, and calming.

It gives them something to focus on, helping their body settle and their mind feel safe - like a little piece of you with them all day 🤍

Sounds simple, right? But in labour, it’s so much more than that.

In our pregnancy yoga classes, we don’t just focus on keeping your body strong and mobile, we prepare your mind too.

Because birth isn’t just physical.

We teach you a powerful “birthing” toolkit - simple, effective techniques (like using a labour comb) that help you stay grounded, manage intensity, and feel more in control.

And no… it’s not about “just breathe and you’ll be fine.”

It’s about:
✨ Understanding what’s happening in your body
✨ Learning how to work with your breath
✨ Building confidence to advocate for yourself
✨ Focusing on what you can control - whatever path your labour takes

Our pregnancy and postnatal classes are back for a brand new term, designed to support you through every stage of motherhood - whether you’re pregnant, newly postnatal, or navigating life with a growing baby

Here’s what’s on offer:

🤰 Pregnancy Yoga (Monkseaton)
• Wednesdays 7:30pm (waiting list)
• Thursdays 6:30pm

🌿 Nurture - 4th Trimester (Cullercoats)
• Thursdays 11:15am

👶 Mum & Baby Yoga
• Tuesdays 10:00am (Monkseaton)
• Thursdays 9:45am (Cullercoats) (waiting list)

💪 Mum & Baby Pilates / Power Flow
