๐ŸŽถ๐ŸŒ Celebrating World Music Therapy Week 2026

World Music Therapy Week is held every year from 10 to 15 April, and is a time dedicated to raising awareness of the vital role music therapy plays across health, wellbeing and rehabilitation services.

At Bradbury Grange, we're passionate about enhancing the quality of life for older people through accessing music therapy. Our music therapy sessions are free of charge for care home residents, thanks to the generous donations from our supporters.

Alison, our experienced Music Therapist, employs therapeutic skills to engage with residents by sharing live music, using singing, percussion, and expressive communication.

For more info about this or Bradbury Grange, chat to us on 01227 273209.

Today weโ€™ve enjoyed a talk about local history and exhibitions at Whitstable museum. Our residents found this absolutely fascinating, especially as many of us have lived in this area. Our next local history talk will be on the subject of Whitstable churches. Thank you so much Whitstable Community Museum Group these opportunities to remember and smile mean the world!

What have we been up to today? This morning, the chaplain led a special service for Maundy Thursday, with symbolic handwashing and frankincense oil. After lunch, some residents (and staff!) painted eggs ready to decorate the home for Easter, while others got busy in the garden with Stacey, weeding and planting out broccoli ๐Ÿฅฆ a busy day here at Bradbury Grange!

๐Ÿ’– Ann is the soul of Bradbury Grange, dedicating almost 46 years to supporting and caring for others.

As a Senior Care Assistant, she inspires her colleagues to take pride in their roles and remember why care matters. Ann's kindness, calmness and ability to form strong bonds with residents and their families have shaped the culture of MHA Bradbury Grange into one that is warm, inclusive, and truly person-centred.

Her warmth is contagious, her ethics unshakeable, and her example unforgettable!๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ˜

๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿฝ Meet our chaplain Naomi! We know that wellbeing is about more than just physical health. It is about feeling seen, heard and valued for who you are โ€“ in mind, body and spirit - and Naomi plays a vital role in making that happen.

Through one-to-one support, companionship, prayer and pastoral care, Naomi helps residents, members, families and colleagues from all religious or non-religious backgrounds find comfort, meaning and peace โ€“ wherever they are on their journey.

It's one of the many things that makes Bradbury Grange special. To find out more, call us on 01227 273209 or email bradbury.grange@mha.org.uk. We'd love to hear from you.

Another sunny day meant another afternoon out in the garden with Stacey. Residents checked up on progress from the veggies planted last week, started some more from seed, cut flowers for arranging around the home, and then settled back to watch a little robin having a wash in our bird bath.
