🥦 February is a quiet celebration of brassicas and sulphur-rich veg. Packed with vitamin C, these vegetables naturally support immunity, liver detoxification, and gut health at this time of year.

Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, kale, leeks, purple sprouting broccoli, savoy cabbage and parsnips all come into their own now, offering the nutrients that we need right now.

Hearty, grounding and perfectly seasonal, these winter vegetables are a reminder that eating with the seasons is one of the simplest ways to support the body through the colder months.

5 uncomfortable questions you should ask yourself if you really want to improve your health and hormones ⬇️

We all have good intentions but to really make changes to our health we need consistency and support. I find that many of my clients desperately want to improve their health but there are many things holding them back, which I help to coach them through to identify where their blocks are and how to make some gentle changes. Here are some questions that you should ask yourself to determine how ready you really are to achieve your goals.

1️⃣ Am I prioritising myself?

If your health is always coming last after work, family and other obligations, you will never reach your health goals.

2️⃣ Do my daily actions align with where I want to be?
It’s not your intentions that shape your health, but the small, repeated choices you make every day. Are you prioritising exercise? Are you eating 6-8 portions of veg? Are you managing your stress? Are you getting enough sleep?

3️⃣ Do I have relationships that are holding me back?

Do your friends only want to be around you when you’re drinking alcohol? Does your partner support your efforts or do they pressure you to eat unhealthily? Think about where you need your boundaries to be, and if the people in your life are on the right or wrong side of them.

4️⃣ Am I using food to cope or to nourish?

Be honest about whether you’re eating for health, energy and balance, or to push through exhaustion, numb emotions, or reward yourself for surviving the day.

5️⃣ Am I listening to my body’s signals or am I ignoring them?

The body whispers before it shouts. Listen to the signals – bloating, low energy, mood swings, brain fog, painful periods – your body is trying to tell you something.

SAVE 💾 this post for your next shopping trip - and check the country of origin on your vegetables in the supermarket - even better get your veg direct from the farm by shopping at a farmer’s market or get a delivery from somewhere like 🥦

Eating with the seasons supports your body with what it needs right now. Seasonal foods are often more nutrient-dense, easier to digest, and aligned with what your body needs at that particular time of year. In winter, nature offers grounding, warming, and immune-supportive vegetables, exactly what we need and crave in January.

A sunny (and freezing!) New Year by the sea 🌊

We haven’t been to Whitstable since before Joey was born so we booked a last minute trip for New Year’s Day and stayed in the sweetest little house right on the beach. The sea air was exactly what I needed, with day trips to Deal and Broadstairs and hours spent playing on the sunny beaches. Many oysters were eaten, memories made, and the year began as we mean to go on 💕

Last slide was my best attempt at a nice family photo 🤦‍♀️

What would you add to the list?Happy New Year everyone! 😘 #2026

If you want to ruin Christmas head over to the Daily Mail for a run down on the unhealthiest Christmas drinks 😂

Or just enjoy yourself without guilt or stress for a few days, try to eat some fresh fruit and veg over the festive period and know that your health is what you do over weeks, months and years; it’s not make or break over the Christmas week 😘
