Since 20th January 2026, our signposting team has helped local households secure £29,116.20 in income they were entitled to but not previously receiving.

Using our Better Off Calculator and working alongside our partners at www.IncomeMax.org.uk, we’ve supported people to access:

• Council Tax Support
• Universal Credit
• Carer’s Allowance
…and more.

This isn’t new money. It’s money people were already entitled to now reaching families who need it.

It reduces reliance on food support and puts nearly £30,000 back into our local economy in just a few weeks.

We don’t just provide food. We help people move forward.

About the Role

As a Community Care Worker, you’ll provide essential support to individuals across Herne Bay and surrounding areas. Your role will be varied, meaningful, and centred around promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing.

Having access to a vehicle for transport is an advantage!

You will be working:

Monday to Friday: 7:00am – 2:00pm

Every other weekend

What You’ll Be Doing

Supporting with personal care and daily living tasks

Assisting with medication

Preparing meals and light household duties

Providing companionship and emotional support

Encouraging independence and confidence

Building positive relationships with clients and their families

No two days are the same — but every day you’ll know you’ve made a difference.

What We’re Looking For

A caring and empathetic nature

Reliability and punctuality

Good communication skills

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred)

Previous care experience is beneficial but not essential — full training provided
