G for gentle. We can be so hard on ourselves and this can make situations feel so much worse than they are.
If we can practice being kinder to ourselves this can really help us get through hard situations.
Try thinking about all the great things you have achieved instead of the negatives and look at how far you've come.

E for energy. By practicing mindfulness, we can calm our minds, which in turn can increase our energy levels.
When energy levels are low even the smallest of tasks can seem overwhelming. Take a moment to accept the current situation and quieten the mind. By restoring some calm this way, you can keep your energy levels higher.
Nutrition and moving our bodies can also contribute to how energised we feel ✨️

D is for daily. Trying to incorporate mindfulness in our daily lives is so beneficial. After a while it will become second nature and a good habit.
Easiest way to ensure you are doing your mindfulness daily is to set aside a time that works for you.
An example would be having a journal by the bed so you do this before you even get up. Swap it for scrolling.
I am also going to say D for dog as I like to get up before anyone else in the house and walk mine. Sets me up for the day. It's so peaceful and also means I am moving my body ✨️

We all have a different idea of calm. How it feels and what it is.
The main point is to set yourself boundaries on when you need the calm and take time for it.
Examples might be breathing deeply, taking a nap, moving your body, reading or an activity you enjoy ✨️

B is for breathing. Something we all do without a second thought, yet how we breathe can impact our well-being.
When we take deeper breaths, right into the stomach area, this can nurture our bodies.
Over time this can increase energy levels and calm the mind.
I am terrified of taking off and landing on a plane and I breathe in to the count of 4 and then the same to exhale and I find it relaxes me and makes the experience a lot less stressful 😌
